Are you looking to be part of an international accounting professionals to work on the compliance for Expedia's LATAM Region? Do you like working closely with colleagues in tax, treasury, and other departments to tackle problems? If so, this team is for you!

We are looking for a candidate with a solid base of accounting/tax, including working with multiple currencies, foreign entities, supporting statutory audits and collaborating across partners. A great candidate can demonstrate the ability to use accounting knowledge, be curious and persevering, while working in a fast-paced, team oriented, constantly evolving and growing organization! This position will support our LATAM/Canadian Region and is located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

What you’ll do:

• Support a team of 3 Senior accounting analysts based in Brazil

• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

• Liaison with 3rd party service providers to support local compliance requirements

• Work efficiently across functions to support of local audits in partnership with the senior accountants

• Be able to understand GAAP concepts and their effects on statutory financial results

• Prepare ad hoc analysis

• Prepare financial statements

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting

• +3 years of related professional experience

• Fluent in English

• Ability to remain flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

• Ability to build strong working relationships and work efficiently across functions to resolve issues

• Attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and time management skills

• Knowledge in AR and AP subledger in ERP systems

• Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, functions) as well as able to work with large amounts of data

• Commitment to continued improvement

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
