Airline Debit Memo Analyst
We are the Air Operations of the Strategic Travel Partners (STP) organization procuring and handling the supply for Expedia’s air, car, cruise, and travel insurance products and setting the strategy for these products as well as travel packages.

Our Air Operations team is currently looking for a global Transportation Analyst – more specific an Airline Debit Memo Analyst (ADM Analyst). The main responsibility includes analyzing data for trends in airline debit memos and develop strategies for short and long-term ADM reductions. The role requires you to think creatively and have an investigative instinct to seek out details and information that lead to the source or root cause of an issue. You will determine and communicate the most effective solutions. Analysts in this role will also complete quality audits to aid with the coaching and development of ADM agents working for multiple vendors in global locations and assure agents are adhering to rigorous quality standards in research processes, performance, and communication with all business partners globally.
What you’ll do:
Investigate, analyze and resolve Debit memo queries escalated by vendors
Develop working relationship with airlines and GDS to resolve open debit memo issues
Collaborate with Account Mangers by investigating issues, providing ad-hoc actionable reports and providing recommendations to resolve & negotiate Debit memo settlements
Perform regular research and analysis to identify system or process trends; and request further assessment from internal & external partners
Make recommendations for issue resolution and overall process improvement with the goal to reduce loss and protect revenue
Providing vendor support by creating/updating documents to reduce handle times and improve debit memo research processes
Supporting the adherence to research processes and communication standards with all business partners globally by performing monthly quality audits
Assist with Global debit memo research and negotiations
Identify internal and external system issues and report to appropriate group
Who you are:
Must have extensive working knowledge of airline rules and regulations including but not limited to ticket audit, fare rule interpretation, ticketing, ticket exchanges, ticket refunds and Airline initiated schedule changes preferred. Recommended two years’ experience
Proficient in one or more Global Distribution Systems (GDS) Sabre, Amadeus preferred; native mode experience with researching and reading PNR history required
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; specifically, Word and Excel
Deadline driven in a fast-paced environment to complete work effectively and efficiently
Exceptional collaboration at all levels, including crisp and compelling verbal and written decision-making communication
Must be a team player, have a flexible approach, be a creative strategic thinker and able to adapt to changing circumstances or roles
Extraordinary risk management and problem resolution skills; a real passion for data with a rigorous approach to analysis
Collaborative, yet influential; an experienced negotiator who is high-energy and convincing but willing to flex and compromise when appropriate
