Finance Manager

Expedia Groups (EG) Development Platform & Infrastructure team is looking for a Finance Manager to join its FP&A business partnership team to provide support in the Cloud area which cuts across various functions.

The role interacts with all levels of the organization & will partner with the business to optimize commercial decision making. You will operate as part of a globally distributed team and thrive in a fast-pace environment.

What you will do:

• Partner across technology teams and EG to develop a deep understanding of business levers and find opportunities to drive value into the organization

• Distil complex financial data into impactful commercial insights

• Responsible for the end-to-end month-end, forecast, budgeting and reporting processes for an area within the technology function

• Build financial models, analyze new trends and initiatives, and perform ad-hoc modelling as required to support business cases

• Drive process improvement through effective business partnering across the finance organization

• Play a key role in the forecast/outlook process and collaborate with business partners to better understand Risk & Opportunities

• Lead, develop and improve processes to control operational costs

• Coach junior staff members within the team

Who you are:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar) with extensive post qualified experience, which includes accounting and business partnering activities (budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, analysis, and insight)

• Proven commercial finance experience required in a fast paced, changing environment ideally in the technology sector

• High level of intellectual curiosity, a logical thinker that drives sense of ownership and desire for continuous improvement

• Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment managing multiple priorities, in an international team environment with time-zone overlaps

• Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase or SQL a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interpret and present data in a visually compelling format to financial and non-finance partners, under tight deadlines

• You cultivate highly collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and functions

• Good understanding of cloud cost management and FINOPS framework advantageous but not required

• Cloud Centre of Excellence

• Finance leadership including local and international teams

• Technology Business partners

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $(104000) to $(145500). Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $(166500), which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
