Manager, CRM Technical Operations

What you’ll do:

  • Act as an SME for CRM campaign operations, platform best practices and advise on improving campaign effectiveness
  • Advise on the preparation of data, segments, email creatives and other configurations
  • Monitor and troubleshoot manual and automated campaigns and data activities in case of failures, and notify stakeholders of relevant outcomes, fluctuations, and plans
  • Define process improvements and enable campaign automation to increase campaign efficiency
  • Manage email deliverability, escalate issues, and work with the email service provider (ESP) to resolve issues
  • Work with engineers and 3rd parties to troubleshoot issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve technical implementation and work with Product and Transformation team to support development of a world-class marketing technology stack

Who you are:  

You’ll fit this role if you have:    

  • 7+ years of experience with omni-channel marketing campaign management systems (e.g. Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Responsys)
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly for both technical and business users   
  • Proven QA experience with data resources, counts, data quality, and creative content
  • Basic knowledge of data migration and ETL’s to be able to discuss data migration issues with engineers, especially identifying when an ETL is not performing as expected
  • Must be able to work closely with email marketing managers to create campaign segments, able to refine the segmentation to achieve the marketing goal and verify that the segmentation is accurate
  • Aptitude in building complex marketing automation campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar)
  • Experience writing HTML for emails and understand how to embed dynamic code such as tracking pixels in emails
  • Ability to assist with reporting and analytics, especially identifying data hygiene issues, then collaborate with engineers and other teams to help correct data inconsistencies
  • Basic knowledge of DNS/DKIM/SPF/DMARC and CAN-SPAM/CASL/GDPR requirements
  • Experience writing simple-to-moderately complex SQL queries a plus
