Manager, People Analytics Product Developer

As a Software Development Engineer, you will be a part of the product development team, working closely with insights partners, the data platform team, and other stakeholders to build accurate, fast, and scalable analytical tools.You will apply your engineering skills to solve organizational health and people-related questions and opportunities.We are seeking a developer who possesses a growth mindset, is driven by unanswered questions, and is passionate about driving impact.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead small, well-defined projects and serve as a supporting member on complex projects while actively identifying inefficiencies in existing systems.

• Develop scalable products with a data journalistic mindset that enables business leaders to make data-driven decisions.

• Develop a deep understanding of stakeholder needs and build necessary skills to help them understand business challenges

• Provideaccurate, timely, contextual, and thoughtful responses to stakeholder requests.

• Construct complex and comprehensive complex and comprehensive data stories with limited supervision.

• Conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality and performance.

• Work collaboratively within a team using Agile methodologies, version control, and best practices.

• Demonstrate familiarity with API access patterns and integration techniques.

• Build and maintain products in production environments using public/hybrid cloud infrastructure.

• Apply software design principles, data structures, design patterns, and computer science fundamentals to write clean, maintainable, optimized, and modular code.

• Act as a technologist, working on the next generation of People Insights products within the Expedia Group tech stack.

• Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field or have equivalent professional experience.

• Proven track record of applying your engineering capabilities and principles in an analytics space to solve issues and opportunities effectively and efficiently.

• A strategic thinker with strong business acumen capable of creative problem solving to identify opportunities and challenges.

• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills to effectively convey complex data insights to stakeholders.

• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and data visualization required.

• Experience working with BI tools such as Workday, Tableau and/or Visier.

• Experience with Python or R and predictive modeling.

• Agile Learner - having a growth mindset and the ability to independently upskill into new tools and processes as they are adopted is essential.

• Able to oscillate between working autonomously or collaboratively as needed.
