Commercial Analytics Manager
Private Label Solutions (PLS), one of Expedia Group’s fastest-growing divisions, specializes in delivering innovative API and Template solutions for our B2B partners worldwide. As the partner-focused arm of Expedia Group, PLS is dedicated to empowering businesses with tailored solutions that drive growth and success.
PLS partners with a wide range of businesses (loyalty programs, airlines, travel agents, corporate travel managers, and online retailers and many other segments) empowering them to remarket Expedia Group’s rates to their customers. Through its flagship solutions, including Rapid API, White Label Template, and TAAP, PLS delivers seamless hotel booking experiences, connecting partners to over 700,000 properties in 250,000 destinations with customizable integrations, unrivalled supply, and competitive rates.
As the Commercial Analytics Manager, you will play a key role in driving the success of our rapidly growing B2B business. Joining the TAAP Analytics team, you will lead the development of innovative insights, shape analytical strategies, and drive data-informed decision-making to uncover revenue opportunities and optimize commercial performance. Your focus will include evaluating performance drivers, analysing revenue trends, and providing actionable recommendations, all while collaborating with global teams across Technology, Product, Commercial, Finance, and Machine Learning.
With a deep understanding of partner business models, supply dynamics, and market trends, you will work closely with commercial and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to solve complex problems, build innovative solutions, and contribute to the growth of an international team. The ideal candidate will combine advanced analytical and technical expertise with strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology, trading performance analysis, and travel.
What you'll do:
- Conduct detailed analyses to uncover performance drivers, delivering actionable insights and quantifying their impact on partner growth and revenue
- Develop scalable frameworks, automated dashboards, and performance metrics to provide real-time insights and enable data-driven decisions.
- Lead end-to-end analyses, identifying revenue opportunities and crafting data-backed business cases to fuel sustainable growth.
- Present complex analyses and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and external partners, bridging data insights with business outcomes.
- Act as a key representative for the TAAP Analytics team in cross-functional forums and workshops, ensuring alignment with broader analytics strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-divisional teams, including Analytics, Data Science, and Machine Learning, to drive innovation and optimize business performance.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of analytical experience in a data-rich commercial environment, such as online travel, e-commerce, or banking.
- Strong understanding of revenue drivers, market dynamics, and commercial performance metrics.
- Expertise in analysing trading performance to identify key commercial opportunities and risks.
- A proactive, creative mindset with a passion for solving complex business challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong grasp of statistical methods and their application to real-world commercial challenges.
- Proven ability to work with large datasets using tools like SQL, R, or similar languages, with demonstrated expertise in uncovering trading drivers in digital environments.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, with a talent for crafting clear and impactful dashboards.
