Principal Program Manager, Platform as a Product

Expedia Group is looking for a Senior Program Manager to formulate and lead our execution strategy to exceptional developer experience; one through which we empower our partners to consume, produce, and build exceptional products using the Expedia Group Platform.

Our team conceptualizes, designs, builds foundational capabilities, and sets the standards and processes for our next-generation API, SDK, Developer Hub, and Tools. The timing is great as you would join us at inception and drive multiple initiatives to scale.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for the roadmap and prioritization. Effectively handle trade-offs between cost, schedule and benefit
  • Define, implement, and simplify processes to improve cross-team execution and delivery
  • Lead proactive identification and mitigation of issues and risks, internally and across organizations
  • Take a whole systems approach to analyze issues and implement comprehensive solutions by ensuring that linkages between structure, people, process and technology are made
  • Work with broader stakeholder groups to ensure connections to overarching strategy and ensure overall prioritization is in line with platform strategy
  • Identify strategic issues and raise questions to help customers explore and understand their wider business challenges in the context of the project/program
  • Design differentiated technical communications (content focus, style, presentation, etc.) for various internal and external consumers
  • Be an evangelist and own communication on technical delivery, vision, strategy and roadmap

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong Program Management experience designing & executing complex technical programs that require coordination across multiple organizations, technical and product functions, and teams
  • Independent self-starter with organizational and analytical skills, coupled with interpersonal awareness and business insight. Driven by a sense of ownership and desire for continuous improvement
  • Deep technical and analytical skills and the aptitude to quickly identify gaps and risks
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts to business partners and executive leadership
  • Strong bias to action. You are able to find a path forward and get things done
  • Passion for excellence in execution and mastery in developing efficient frameworks
  • Innately curious and skilled at zeroing in on the detail and uncovering issues but able to step back and clearly see the big picture
