Senior Communications Planner

Expedia Group’s Global Marketing team is leading some of the world’s most recognized travel brands. Finding new ways to improve the experience for all travelers, everywhere. We’re looking for experienced strategists who can help us build integrated communications platforms across all our brandstouchpoints.

It is our team's job to ensure our brands, and our ideas, are as relevant and impactful as possible. More specifically, it’s the Senior Planner’s job to ensure our communications are orchestrated in a smart way that ladders up to one holistic brand narrative while also inspiring big bold ways for our brands to breakthrough.

What you’ll do:

  • Combine creativity and effectiveness through strong understanding of audiences, touchpoints and media thinking across paid, owned, earned and shared channels

  • Inspire provocative ways for our brands to show up in the world and to capture consumer attention

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our business in order to facilitate the most effective communications solutions i.e. key barriers, marketing challenges, objectives and strategies, competitive pressures, etc

  • Craft consumer journeys that demonstrate a thorough knowledge of how our audience spends their time and where we can add value

  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure we’re using all of our channels and communication tools to the best of our ability

  • Use data and insights to inform your approach and influence campaign KPI’s

  • Manage and help grow future communications planning talent within Expedia Group

Who you are:

  • 6-10 years experience in communications planning, media strategy or similar role at a creatively led organization (agency or brand experience acceptable)

  • Passionate about the ever-changing world of media and able to help solve business problems in a way that straddles the twin pillars of effectiveness and impact

  • A champion of great creative work and an ally to your creative teams. Helping keep everyone inspired & informed about the media & cultural landscape

  • Forever curious about what is happening in the world our brands, and our audiences, live in

  • Able to work in a fast paced, highly competitive, and constantly evolving category

  • Results oriented with outstanding organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills

The total cash range for this position in West Hollywood is $146,000 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
