Senior Director, Credit Management
In this critical leadership role, you will lead the credit management for Expedia Group’s E4B commercial finance function. As a well rounded finance leader, the Senior Director, Credit Management will be experienced in delivering sustainable financial growth by being a commercially astute business partner engaging and influencing at all levels and executing on key results. Success will stem from curiosity and a passion and hunger to improve Expedia Group’s financial understanding, forecasts/outlooks, systems and performance by deeply understanding the Group’s processes and strategy and how Finance can achieve this target.
The Senior Director, Credit Management will be motivated by continuous improvement and a transformative approach and will have a passion for solving complex and strategically important business problems in an agile environment, displaying dedication, as well as an ambition for innovative thinking to ensure that Expedia Group continues to win in its markets.
The position requires a strategic and synchronized perspective, extraordinary stakeholder management, and tried and tested change and leadership skills coupled with intellectual curiosity to identify new ideas and challenge the status quo.
What you'll do:
Drive credit management strategy that supports commercial growth while protecting working capital
Provide subject matter expertise for Insurance Financing to deal with insurance brokers, for product eligibility approval as collateral
Negotiate the terms of loans with partners, and ensure all loans and lending procedures comply with policy and regulation
Work closely with Sales team to align credit strategy and growth strategy
Manage the full cycle of credit, including account closures
Drive continuous improvement in processes and techniques to maximize cash collection and at the same time maintain customer goodwill
Lead credit maintenance and credit related product due diligence and selective credit initiatives
Review credit applications and credit limits, including risk analysis and new account set ups
Assess potential customers' creditworthiness and conduct reviews of existing customers, optimizing company sales
Assist in the legal negotiation and closing process for new investments
Monitor payments and bad debts and drive efficiency in processes
Develop and coach a team of partner executives
Build and maintain effective working relationships with E4B team and E4B Partners’ CFOs
Who you are:
Senior leader in a variety of analytical and strategic, high-visibility finance roles
Significant experience in credit management, driving credit initiatives and/or credit manual maintenance
Good analytical and credit assessment skills, with sound knowledge of portfolio lending and insurance financing, and in-depth knowledge of credit application end-to-end logistics
Drive inclusive stakeholder management and possess good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills
Proven situational leadership skills and the ability to motivate and generate enthusiasm with individuals across all levels of the organization
Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability, in a constantly fast-evolving environment
Business Acumen: Demonstrate a keen understanding of business operations and the organizational levers (systems, processes, departments, functions) that drive profitable growth
A Team Player: thrive in demanding, intellectually charged environments, have strong convictions and can win credibility and contribute across the breadth of a business and its senior management team
