Senior Global Mobility Specialist

The Global Talent Mobility (GTM) function enables the movement of chosen talent into and within Expedia Group, both internationally and domestically, so that we can Go Get What's Next. GTM is a talent lever that promotes career development, enables skill gaps within the organization to be filled temporarily or permanently, encourages the sharing of knowledge between teams and supports embedding Expedia Group's culture into each location.

What you'll do:

  • Consistently responds to stakeholder requests in an accurate, timely, and professional manner

  • Understands (internal and external) customers’ needs, and begins to develop the skills necessary to help customers understand business challenges

  • Continuously build understanding of the organization's processes, objectives, and challenges and their impact on the business

  • Learns about the HR technical area (HRIS, Talent Management) and their application within the company, and develops familiarity with relevant internal policies and procedure

  • Assists with designing, implementing, and administering process, programmatic or system solutions

  • Builds knowledge of HR technical/professional area best practices and their unique application to the company

  • Reviews over-arching project timeline and develops a schedule of tasks to achieve project milestones

  • Works with more experienced team members to identify resources required to support a project

  • Keeps relevant stakeholders informed of progress towards or changes to task timing that impacts the project schedule

  • Develops an understanding of laws, controls, and regulatory requirements

  • Develops an understanding of legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. reporting mandates, compliance requirements)

  • Develops understanding of internal and external market control environments

  • Develops an understanding of current immigration/mobility/mobility tax programs in the company and provides support in the administration of one or more programs (e.g. hybrid work, permanent relocations, short-term, and long-term assignments, commuter arrangements, extended business travelers, frequent business travelers, remote workers and interns)

  • Understands key performance indicators related to own work and the importance of metrics in defining success (e.g., efficiency and effectiveness)

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in the related field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree or 0-2 years of relevant experience with Master's degree

  • Working knowledge of immigration/mobility/mobility tax policies and processes in line with industry standards and able to come up with creative solutions as needed

  • Knowledge of global legal and compliance requirements

  • Able to navigate competing priorities in a demanding and dynamic organization, and deliver results

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams on workstreams, projects, and processes that impact the work of the Mobility team

  • An established performer who consistently applies immigration/mobility/mobility tax capabilities, principles, and playbooks to solve business issues and opportunities, with a moderate level of guidance and direction
