Senior Manager, Creative Project Management
Expedia Group’s Global Marketing Communications team is dedicated to developing and executing innovative and effective global marketing across our family of brands. Within this organization, the Creative Project Management team is responsible for the flawless running and organization of our Brand Pods and the projects within them, annual and quarterly project forecasting, resourcing, and prioritization. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day aspect of our most complex and highly integrated global projects, driving creative workflow and maintaining operational excellence across the entire Brand Pod. This person has a passion for process and organization and has experience in managing a team of project managers.
We are seeking an enthusiastic person who can contribute a team environment and wants to be part of an evolving organization. This position requires a self-motivated, flexible individual with strong communication, organization and leadership skills. There will be a lot of hands-on work required in the initial months as the team gets up and running.
What you’ll do:
Lead annual and quarterly forecasting for upcoming campaign priorities for your Brand Pod; maintain alignment on changing scope and ensuring accurate timelines and on-time project kick offs
Maintain oversight of all active project status within your Brand Pod. Feed into a weekly leadership status report and be the primary POC for all Brand Pod project updates and questions
Independently steward day-to-day project management of our largest and most complex global projects, serving as a daily point of leadership for cross-functional partners
Schedule creative reviews and other important team meetings, ensuring the right attendees are present, meetings start and finish on time and recapping and distributing detailed notes
Drive integrated project timelines and ensure all key milestones and due dates are communicated frequently to the larger internal project team and agency partners
Anticipate and mange potential blockers across concept development, production, and delivery phases; flag to appropriate partners and proactively find solutions
Partner with brand management and production to drive creative approvals across legal, geos, clearance bodies and internal leadership teams
Partner with production and brand management on project localization to ensure alts and geo specific nuances are captured during production and in the final produced assets
Work with media and other internal teams to consolidate asset requests and file delivery specs
Partner with production and agency teams to manage the delivery process for creative across all channels (broadcast, digital, audio, social, print, OOH and CRM) and archive final assets upon completion of project
Utilize team feedback, retrospectives, and metrics to identify areas of opportunity and work with your team to continuously improve
Champion and help build creative workflow processes and tools to ensure consistency across the Brand Pod
Manage a team of project managers, provide mentorship and feedback to help them grow, maintain oversight of team workload balance
Collaborate with teams across PST, CST, GMT time zones
Who you are:
A project management professional with a minimum of 8-10 years experience in creative project management within an advertising agency or brand side creative organization
An expert in managing global creative projects across all production and media channels (broadcast, digital, editorial, audio, social, print, OOH and CRM)
A leader experienced in managing a small team of direct reports
Familiar with managing a large cross-functional team of stakeholders and driving alignment across all aspects of a creative project
An effective and concise communicator
Resilient and constructive when faced with change; able to shift approaches when needed in response to unexpected events and circumstances
Someone who thrives in maintaining organization, finding efficiencies and building, improving and simplifying processes
Well versed in global campaign and localization processes
Experienced in working with project management software/tools (Smartsheet, Jira, etc.)
