Senior Market Manager, Regional Chains

The Senior Market Manager’s responsibility is to have ownership and revenue accountability for a portfolio of hotel partners in Ireland.

A person who can develop and grow relationships with executives and partners as well as collaborate, communicate and influence Expedia teams to execute and deliver.

What you will do:

  • Exceed major market management critical metrics for key regional chain portfolio

  • Identify key strategic growth levers and opportunities to help partners grow their business, increase revenue and shift share across destination portfolio

  • Lead key updates with critical teams

  • Initiate and orchestrate market management growth initiatives, driving partner growth across market/destination portfolio, working with global, regional and local partners

  • Understand and implement creative and sophisticated deals and financial models

  • Initiate and coordinate contract renewals in close partnership with market management and LSP (Lodging Strategic Partners)

  • Day-to-day internal and external relationship management, including senior-most executive and operational levels

  • Establish close interaction with key partners' teams including regular HQ and market visits

  • Develop positive relationship with internal partners to drive growth initiatives execution, strategic partner plan implementation and new business opportunities

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • 4-6 years’ experience

  • Proficient in English language and other relevant language skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Proficiency with Project Management and CRM tools such as Salesforce (Microsoft Project is a plus).

  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Finds opportunities of growth, and collaborates in a constructive and consultative manner

  • Laser-focus on achieving a variety of important metrics (targets, goals and/or strategic objectives) set by leadership team

  • High impact personality: intellectual agility, entrepreneurship, emotional intelligence, standout colleague

  • Results-oriented, motivated and willing to take action

  • Highly developed organization and time leadership skills, attention to details

  • Steadfastly works to meet or exceed results-oriented goals; derives happiness from goal achievement and continuous improvement

  • Able to work independently (as well as be a strong standout colleague), lead a wide variety of projects and partners simultaneously

  • Drives high standards for individual, team, and organizational accomplishment

  • Ability to develop creative insights and innovative solutions to help the team win

  • Upbeat, motivated with a can-do attitude

  • Ability to travel up to 25-50% within Ireland and the UK

  • Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills and partner influence capabilities

  • Proven problem-solving skills and a curiosity to identify emerging business trends, use data and drive strategic growth opportunities

  • Appetite for innovative technology, constantly evolving business environment, decision making

  • Provide ongoing input to Senior management and contribute to cross functional Expedia business initiatives to proactively anticipate market impact and craft optimized roll out plans

  • Excellent customer service and sincere relationship-building ethic, strong social intelligence; earns the confidence of others; bridges and sustains solid partnerships based on mutual support through a collaborative style

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Able to represent Expedia in local markets

  • Build Expedia’s company profile with key influencers (e.g. tourism bureau, hotel association, etc.) and provide expertise to the local industry

  • Knowledge of hospitality and technology industries highly desirable
