Senior Vice President - Finance, E4B

SVP Finance

In this critical leadership role, you will lead Expedia for Business Finance team, you will be a strategic partner to our Expedia for Business leadership team and accountable for Expedia for Business decisions across the B2B organization which accounts for all of Expedia Group’s supply partnerships and 20%+ of Expedia Group’s revenue and profit through its distribution partnerships and media sales. You will also be responsible for weekly outlook, quarterly forecast, and annual planning processes, for delivering high quality financial reporting for Expedia for Business and strategic insight across the business.

As a well-rounded finance leader, you will be experienced in delivering sustainable financial growth by being a commercially astute business partner engaging and influencing at all levels and executing on key results. Success will stem from curiosity and a passion and hunger to improve Expedia Group’s financial understanding, commercial position, forecasts/outlooks, systems and performance by deeply understanding the Group’s processes, competitive position and strategy and how Finance can achieve this target. You will be motivated by continuous improvement and a transformative approach and will have a passion for solving complex and strategically important business problems in an agile environment, displaying dedication, as well as an ambition for innovative thinking to ensure that Expedia Group continues to win in its markets.

The position requires a strategic and synchronized perspective, extraordinary stakeholder management, and tried and tested change and leadership skills coupled with intellectual curiosity to identify new ideas and challenge the status quo

What you’ll do:

  • Support Expedia for Business supply and demand partnerships through strategic and operational financial analysis, commercial insights and scenario modeling
  • Support the commercial teams to optimize value for EG and partners with new deals and strat negotiations and develop the economic frameworks for deal terms approvals
  • Provide business advisory and thought partnership to Expedia for Business President and leadership team
  • Deliver division planning, performance insight & reporting, KPIs and target setting to ensure on track performance and enable timely course correction
  • Drive optimal division budgeting and forecasting ensuring appropriate portfolio mix, short vs long term growth strategies & alignment to commercial strategy
  • Own division capital optimization and investment prioritization
  • Own credit program, credit risk management and working capital optimization and demand partner operations
  • Manage division risk and controls

Who you are:

Functional Expertise

  • Senior leadership in a variety of analytical and strategic, high-visibility finance roles.
  • Proven track record in driving excellence in financial planning and insight whilst being experienced in delivering robust financial plans which empowers high performing businesses to grow value.
  • Proven track record of success in commercial negotiations and in growing partnerships
  • Experience in allocating capital, managing and optimising working capital and payment operations
  • Proven situational leadership skills and the ability to motivate and generate enthusiasm with individuals across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability, in a constantly fast-evolving environment.
  • A Storyteller: able to build and communicate clearly a vision and strategy. Skilled thought-leader, confident and successful at influencing others to act.
