Expedia’s Property Management Solutions team is looking for a creative, energetic, and collaborative Program Manager to join our team in Denver, CO! We embrace diversity in all aspects. Your program management skills and innovation will play a pivotal role in guiding the delivery of optimized next generation workflows. Escapia software already drives billions of dollars in booking revenue annually, and we're just getting started.

What you'll do:

  • Helping set and drive objectives across various engineering teams

  • Defining roadmap and engineering execution to enable program and customer success

  • Able to proactively identify and address actionable feedback from stake holders/customers

  • Enable your teams to provide successful and pertinent solutions to ensure customer success

  • Host reviews with senior leads to plan and communicate strategy

  • Participate in the software development lifecycle and how various agile engineering practices can be used (e.g., in planning, requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, acceptance testing)

  • Decide when to apply agile methodologies vs. traditional methodologies to achieve the best development outcome

  • Lead and mentor others through agile ceremonies

  • Develop project schedules, define timeframes, budget routes, and prioritize tasks to achieve project milestones and deliver intended objectives within the agreed timeframes and ensuring that requirements are completed. In addition, you will identify the types of resources required to support a project, and make recommendations for specific people, technology, partners etc.

  • Keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress toward or changes to task timing that impacts the project schedule

  • Lead proactive risk management, working with the team to anticipate new risks and mitigation planning

  • Lead increasingly complex technical projects with some supervised work on ambiguous adaptive programs

  • Coordinate bringing together different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop solutions to issues and contributes your own suggestions

  • Assist with a whole systems approach to analyzing issues by ensuring all components (structure, people, process and technology) are identified and accounted for

  • Identify opportunities to re-use patterns and apply them to systems to add value or simplify

  • Think holistically to identify opportunities around policies/processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries

  • Assess bottlenecks in work processes within teams to streamline and simplify workflow

  • Coordinate with team members to execute new ideas or approaches and achieve process improvement goals

  • Foster a team environment where members are comfortable critiquing and suggesting changes to improve processes

  • Be involved in different stages of the product development lifecycle from idea generation to bringing a product to market by supporting the different phases and improving product performance

  • Demonstrate the ability to confidently deliver on parts of the product development lifecycle

  • Support and facilitate conversations regarding product development lifecycle with other teams

  • Work closely with product managers and UX designers to identify and solve real-world customer problems and business opportunities

  • Interact with product managers, customer experience teams, other technical program managers and multiple development teams to define and deliver complex features

  • Gain stakeholder trust by effectively addressing their concerns to further long-term interests

  • Guide the organization through program delivery and outcomes

  • Comprehend and understand of complex information (e.g., legal, operational risk, and regulatory data) and impact to the business by correctly and clearly answering routine questions

  • Consider and understand the audience’s specific needs and comprehension level to determine the most appropriate message and delivery method, limiting or explaining technical language

  • Communicate technical and business concepts confidently to mid-level management

Who you are:

  • Strong Program Management experience

  • Sound understanding of Software Engineering- software development experience is a big plus

  • Proven knowledge in data tools (SQL, Excel etc.)

  • Demonstrates a critical understanding of functional information (e.g., legal, data/metrics, and technical information) and is able to accurately answer relevant questions

  • Experience tailoring communications (content focus, style, format, etc.) for different audiences as appropriate

  • Actively seeks diverse feedback on work and anticipates feedback to address it proactively

Salary: $134,000 - $178,500 (If this is a sales role, variable incentive plans apply. Incentive plans are dependent on level of role)
