Muhammad joined Expedia Group from an airline and leisure background, “I was an agent at a airline company for more than six years. I was then promoted to a help-desk agent, in this role I was the first line of support for our agents. I’m implementing my previous experience in business travel at Egencia”.
What does your day typically look like?
My typical day would involve assisting our clients and customers via phone and email. I provide them with their first line of support for their travel needs.
What do you enjoy most about coming to work each day?
Working in the travel industry is something that I have always had a natural interest in. Combining this interest with my job makes my role just that little bit more enjoyable. Helping and supporting our customers is the most rewarding part of my day.
What work accomplishment are you most proud of?
My biggest accomplishment is gaining great feedback from my customers. Feedback for me is great, as I know I’m doing the right thing and making a difference to their travel needs. I also have great attention to detail and since joining, in October 2018, I’ve had no errors.
What’s so special about your team?
We share knowledge, are constantly learning and we help one another throughout the day.
It’s also a very multicultural environment which I believe is special. Having the experience of working and socialising with people from all backgrounds has made me more open minded and understanding towards different cultures and beliefs. It really helps to create that strong team environment.
Why are you so passionate about travel?
I love exploring all the world has to offer. Travelling is one of the most life affirming things you can do for yourself. Aside from the fun involved, travelling can transform you on so many levels. It provides me with a great spiritual experience and makes me appreciate all the world has to offer.
