Since joining as a Travel Service Associate in 2023, Rashi has had incredible growth opportunities to develop in her career. Encouraged by her peers and managers, she earned a Business Analyst certification and collaborated on projects across multiple teams. With a strong start to her career at EG, Rashi shares in this blog how she’s made the most of the opportunities that have come her way.

Tell us about your career journey at EG so far?

I joined Expedia Group in February 2022 as a Travel Service Associate and immediately discovered the company’s commitment to growth and learning. Eager to upskill, I completed a Business Analytics course, which led to an opportunity to work with the Training and Development team through a project gig – a program which enables employees to spend a percentage of their time supporting another team for certain projects. From there, I transitioned into the Competitive Intelligence team. Along the way, I earned certifications in Competitive Intelligence and Product Management to support my goal of shifting into a product-focused, or analytics, role.

What does a typical working day in the office look like for you?

After my promotion to Senior Associate in April, my days are a vibrant mix of customer care, coaching, and collaboration. I start by assisting premium travelers with complex inquiries, then switch gears to mentor new team members as part of our floor support initiative. In the afternoons, I collaborate with the Engagement team to plan on-floor activities – keeping things fun and inclusive – and dive into special projects that stretch beyond my daily role, offering fresh learning experiences.

What is Expedia Group life like in the Gurgaon office?

Our Downtown Gurgaon office is bursting with energy and color. It’s a melting pot of India’s diverse cultures, with colleagues from every state. We have two cafeterias offering a range of cuisines and a dedicated gaming room for quick breaks. The environment is inclusive, with leadership and peers who respect different perspectives and foster a true sense of belonging.

What advice would you give to people who may be following a similar career path?

I owe where I am today to the mentors and managers who championed me – and to my own curiosity and drive to learn. At Expedia Group, hard work and feedback are genuinely valued. My advice: seek out mentors, embrace every learning opportunity, and don’t be afraid to share your career aspirations.
