When Ana stepped into Expedia Group’s Bangkok office, she wasn’t just attending an EGA Strategic meeting—she was experiencing the heart of EG’s global culture firsthand.
“From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the warmth and hospitality,” Ana recalls. “Not just from the Bangkok team, but especially from our EG Advertising colleagues who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The energy in the office was vibrant, collaborative, and full of heart. It instantly felt like an extension of home.”

Building Connections Beyond the Screen

For Ana, the visit was more than a change of scenery—it was a chance to deepen relationships that usually happen through a screen.

“Being in the Bangkok office gave me the chance to connect face-to-face with colleagues I usually only see virtually,” she says. “It sparked new ideas, strengthened trust, and helped us align more closely on strategic priorities. There’s something powerful about sharing space—it builds momentum in a way that virtual meetings can’t always replicate.”

Culture and Common Ground

Ana noticed striking similarities between Bangkok and her own roots in Caracas, Venezuela, as well as her current home in Miami.

“The hospitality and attentiveness stood out,” she explains. “The warmth of the people reminded me of home—and yes, the wonderfully chaotic traffic felt familiar too! The team’s collaborative spirit and eagerness to support one another mirrored the values we hold across Expedia Group.”

Ana returned with a renewed appreciation for the power of in-person connection and the importance of creating a welcoming environment.

“The Bangkok team reminded me how small gestures—like a warm greeting or thoughtful support—can make a big impact,” she says. “Sharing perspectives across regions helps us grow stronger as a team and brings fresh energy to how we work together.”
