For Ash, an Associate Air Account Manager in our Air Supply team, it starts with strong relationships, smart data, and a deep understanding of airline partners across EMEA. Working at the heart of our air business, Ash helps regional carriers optimize their performance on our platform.
Read on as she shares a behind-the-scenes look at her role, her career journey, and and inside look at our annual Air Hacks campaign, designed to inspire and empower travelers.

Tell us about your team and your role.
I sit within the Air Supply team, part of the wider Travel Partnerships and Advertising division. Our main focus is working with airlines to bring the best possible content onto our platform for our air customers. To bring this to life, we work cross-functionally with a range of teams, including: Air Operations for technical support, EG Advertising to help airlines market their products and services, Finance to keep a strong commercial lens on our deals and Legal for contracting, which is a big part of the role.
My portfolio covers regional airlines across EMEA. I own the relationships with these partners, ensuring they have strong, competitive content on our storefront and act as their main point of contact for any Expedia-related queries. As part of this, I run regular trade reviews to assess performance, identify opportunities, and optimise sales. Each day in my role varies and could include partner calls, coordinating with internal teams on commercial or operational topics, and progressing initiatives such as promotions or content improvements to drive performance.
What part of your role do you enjoy the most and why?
Interacting with partners is one of my favourite elements in my role. Whether it is a call, a meeting hosted at our office or a meeting at large industry event, connecting with my partners is the core of my role. It’s energizing to collaborate across teams in a fast-moving airline and OTA environment, where our work has a real impact on how people discover and book flights.
Can you tell us about the Air Hacks campaign?
The Air Hacks campaign provides great insights for our travellers to help inspire and empower their next travel adventure. It helps you to feel savvier whilst researching and planning your next getaway and could even help save you some pennies!
You can check out the full Air Hacks report here.
Which type of traveler are you at the airport?
I’d say I’m pretty average as an airport traveler but if I had to say, I lean slightly more towards getting to the airport later than earlier. If arriving 3 hours before is recommended, you’ll catch me there 2.5 hours before! Unfortunately I’ve missed a flight before so I keep it close, but not that close!
What’s a fun fact about you, relating to travel?
I have a genuine fascination with aviation, and my fun fact is that this interest has even taken me into the cockpit of a Tecnam jet, initially nerve-wracking but ultimately thrilling.

What advice would you give to people who may be following a similar career path to you?
Try to find the right balance between being patient and proactive. At the start of your career, it can be easy to feel that you should be doing everything and exploring all options all at once. Remember, that although taking initiative is important, you can also take your time to understand your skillset and interests, so that you are ready for when opportunities arise. In my role, there have been great opportunities to assist or co-lead projects that directly relate to tools and processes used by my team. These projects are a great way to expand your skills outside of usual job responsibilities and increase your exposure beyond your immediate team.
Why would you recommend a career at EG?
Starting my career at Expedia Group has set a very high bar for what I look for in a company. From my Summer Internship, through the Graduate Program, and into my full-time role, I’ve been trusted with meaningful responsibility and encouraged to own my decisions from early on. There’s a strong culture of collaboration, with colleagues always willing to step in and support when needed.
