Leading with Curiosity: Sinéad’s Career Journey in Travel Technology
Sinéad manages Expedia Group’s EMEA Key Accounts team, driving strategic partner management and growth across the travel tech space. A passionate advocate for inclusive leadership and career development, she blends curiosity, connection, and commercial impact. In her day-to-day in our Dublin office, Sinéad embodies our “Go Get What’s Next” value in all the work she does to power travel for our customers, and our partners.

My journey at Expedia Group so far
In my role, I manage a fantastic team of nine who oversee some of our most strategic and high-impact partners. We’re focused on building and nurturing strong, collaborative, relationships that align with Expedia Group’s mission and purpose. These priorities drive strategic initiatives, optimize partner engagement, and deliver exceptional consulting and account management experiences that fuel revenue growth and market success. And of course, one of the best parts of being in a partner-facing role is the travel. I recently returned from Rome, where Vrbo was the title sponsor of the Vacation Rental World Summit. It was an incredible experience meeting partners, hosting QBRs, and, yes, enjoying some amazing pasta along the way!
As a leader, I aim to be a strategist, mentor, and thought partner, helping my team and our partners achieve scalable, meaningful results. Everything we do is anchored in our Expedia Group values, especially “Include Consciously” and “Force Simplicity.” If I had to choose one value that truly defines me, it would be “Go Get What’s Next.” I’m endlessly curious and always looking for the next big opportunity! Whether it’s uncovering new market trends, enhancing our traveler and partner experiences, or finding smarter, simpler ways of working, I am very much one for improving efficiencies!
I’ve spent over 15 years in the travel industry, with nearly five of those years at Expedia Group. I began my journey here as a People Leader for the EMEA Acquisition team and later had the opportunity to take on what we call here at EG a ‘Rotation Gig’ as Senior Manager for the UK team. This was a career-defining experience that eventually led me to my current role leading the EMEA Key Accounts Management team which I’m very proud of. And one of my proudest moments from my time at EG so far was being recognized last year with the “Include Consciously” Value Award for my work with our internal TPSP (Traveller Partner Service Platform teams) to streamline processes and create a smoother escalation experience for our Vrbo partners.

From our central Dublin office overlooking St. Stephen’s Green, where we host rooftop events and team breakfasts, to opportunities to volunteer during our Day of Caring and give back to the community (something I’m deeply passionate about), it’s a great place to contribute to global travel. My advice for how to grow in your career
If I could share one piece of advice for anyone looking to grow their career, it would be this: Be curious. Ask questions. And never stop building your network, internally and externally. Creating visibility not just for your role, but for yourself, is how you build your own personal brand.
