Our Presence at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India 2025
Expedia Group made a strong impact at the conference with our branded booth, where recruiters and technologists connected directly with attendees to share insights about our innovative business, cutting-edge technology, and current open roles. Our team actively engaged with the cloud native community throughout the event, demonstrating Expedia Group’s leadership in the space. Highlights included two keynote speakers presenting “Pushing the Limits: Scaling ArgoCD’s Repo-Server to Handle 30K Applications,” showcasing our engineering innovation at scale. Additionally, one of our experts contributed as a panelist in the session “Handling Node Churn in Karpenter: Efficient Scaling for Large EKS Clusters,” underscoring our commitment to solving complex infrastructure challenges and driving forward best practices in the industry.
We connected with our two keynote speakers, Aditya Sharma – Software Development Engineer III, Isha Batra – Senior Software Development Engineer and Talent Acquisition Manager, Komal Jagota on their reflections of being part of the conference.
What was your biggest takeaway from the conference?
Aditya: It was the significance of establishing a presence within the global tech community. While there may be challenges we’re facing, they can still be resolved with the community’s help. At the same time, we can also extend support to the community in issues that we’ve experienced and overcome.
Komal: It was the immense value of engaging directly with the tech community. These are professionals who are highly skilled and open to future opportunities. By connecting with them, we can build the future of Expedia Group and the future of travel together.
Why should Expedia Group be at this conference?
Isha: It highlights that we’re not just a travel company, but also a strong tech company that’s prioritizing and contributing to the latest technologies. It’s a great way to showcase the kind of cutting-edge work we’re doing and attract top talent while strengthening our name in the tech community.
Komal: It’s important for us to show up at such conferences because it helps us build visibility as a strong travel tech company, connect directly with talent like SREs, Cloud and Security Engineers, and stay ahead of industry trends. It also showcases our approachable culture and investment in engaging with this important community.
What are you most looking forward to in your role at Expedia Group?
Aditya: Working with the latest tools and technologies to further improve our platform, including the developer experience.
Isha: Continuing my work on scaling our platforms and making the developer experience even smoother.
Komal: I am most excited about the opportunity to strengthen our hiring practices by leveraging new tools and exploring the use of AI in recruitment to drive greater efficiency. I’m also looking forward to continuing to engage with top talent and turning conversations from KubeCon networking into hires for Expedia Group.
