Define Success Beyond Metrics

“For me, success is about two things: the quality of my work and the health of my team. In B2B servicing, success isn’t just hitting numbers, it’s understanding partners’ unique needs and building solutions with clear, targeted, goals.

I also measure success by the impact I have on my team’s experience. For example, introducing weekly syncs and feedback sessions in my previous role created a more connected environment, and that structure is now used as a model for other projects.”

Habits and Mindsets That Drive Growth

Sahana’s growth comes from structured habits and a problem-solving mindset:

  • Stay informed: “I start every day by reading industry news. Skift and Phocuswire are my go-tos.”
  • Focus your time: “I use time blocking to give important tasks the attention they deserve.”
  • Ask the right questions: “I constantly ask, What’s the goal here? and What questions do I need to solve to get there?

She’s also invested in skill-building:

“I’ve been honing my SQL skills to self-serve data and troubleshoot independently. Strong communication and time management are equally important. I work on improving them every day.”



Overcoming Challenges

“Early on, I struggled to separate useful partner feedback from noise. I created a filtering approach: capture all input, look for recurring themes, validate against user data and business goals, and prioritize changes that serve the broadest set of partners. That made our roadmap clearer and helped partners see how their input was used.”

Support That Made a Difference

“When I joined the travel space, I had a lot to learn. I reached out to tenured colleagues, product and ops partners, and subject matter experts, and everyone made time to share context and resources. Those conversations accelerated my learning more than any single training could.”

Advice for Growing in a Similar Role

“Be curious and always ask why. Understand the customer and business context behind every task, not just the task itself. Pair curiosity with data and feedback, build strong cross-functional relationships, and document decisions so you can repeat what works and learn from what doesn’t.”

A Moment of Pride

“I’m most proud of leading the update to the trips experience for Expedia TAAP (Travel Agent Affiliate Programme). It simplified workflows for partners, reduced friction for travelers, and earned positive adoption and feedback. Seeing a tangible product change improve day-to-day work for partners has been incredibly rewarding.”
