Manager, Performance Marketing
Introduction to the Team
We create and deliver an aligned, dedicated marketing strategy to fuel each Expedia Group brand's success. Since our travelers interact with us through our brands, we have a brand focus in our marketing, while leveraging the scale and efficiency we’ve built in functional expertise.
This position is within the Metasearch team under Performance Marketing, driving growth by creating compelling online marketing campaigns that attract users to our sites. With a customer-first mindset, we focus on developing strategies that deliver measurable results and long-term value. We collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Expedia Group to ensure our campaigns are data-driven, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
This role is ideal for a high-performing individual contributor who consistently applies- and occasionally enhances- performance marketing capabilities, principles, and playbooks. You’ll operate largely independently and mentor junior colleagues, helping shape the future of our digital marketing efforts.
In this role, you will:
Develop and operate high-impact online marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
Manage multi-million-dollar marketing budgets and lead large-scale campaign execution.
Inform strategy evaluation and adjustments to improve campaign performance.
Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests for key performance levers such as ad copy and landing pages.
Independently run ROI assessments and optimize budget allocation.
Analyze past campaign performance to identify trends and translate insights into future strategies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand broader business challenges and propose marketing solutions.
Apply industry knowledge to assess competitors and identify best practices.
Communicate ideas clearly and persuasively to gain support and resolve issues.
Use data collection methods to measure customer behavior, market performance, and program effectiveness.
Strong SQL skills and experience with Tableau or Looker
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or master's degree with 3+ years of experience in performance marketing or a related field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience managing large marketing budgets and leading complex campaigns.
Strong understanding of third-party online marketing platforms.
Advanced analytical skills and familiarity with the scientific method.
Demonstrated business acumen and risk assessment capabilities.
Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with e-commerce marketing strategies and data analysis tools.
