Market Manager (Gurgaon)
Introduction to team
Travel Partnerships and Advertising helps partners, including hotels, vacation rentals, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply and our leading advertising and travel media network.
As a Market Manager, you will manage a portfolio of lodging partners in assigned markets and act as their primary commercial contact. You will use data and market insights to optimize pricing, availability, content, and high-impact promotions that grow room nights, revenue and share of wallet. By helping partners succeed on Expedia Group’s platform, you will directly contribute to delivering great experiences for travelers and achieving our growth ambitions.
In this role, you will
- Own a portfolio of lodging partners (hotels and other accommodation providers) and act as their primary commercial contact, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders from hotel owners and senior leaders to revenue managers and operational teams.
- Develop and execute market-level strategic plans to grow room nights, revenue and share of wallet, informed by market trends, seasonal patterns, and competitor activity.
- Analyze partner and market performance data (e.g., conversion, pricing, availability, competitiveness, cancellation patterns, traveler demand) to identify risks and opportunities, translating insights into clear, prioritized actions for partners.
- Coach partners on best practices in pricing, revenue management, content quality and competitiveness, and negotiate commercial opportunities (such as promotions, packages, value-adds and exclusive deals) that drive incremental demand and improve partner and traveler outcomes.
- Ensure high-quality onboarding and strong adoption of Expedia Group tools, programs and self-service capabilities, collaborating with internal teams to resolve partner issues, reduce friction and unlock growth.
- Champion Expedia Group values and behaviors, contributing to a high-performing, inclusive and feedback-rich team culture.
Experience and qualifications
- You have a minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in account management, sales, business development or consulting, ideally within travel, hospitality or e-commerce.
- You have a proven track record of managing a book of business or territory against commercial targets, using data to build simple analyses and turning insights into clear recommendations and actions.
- You demonstrate effective stakeholder and relationship management skills; you can influence without formal authority and build trust with both external partners and internal teams.
- You communicate clearly in both verbal and written form and can tailor your message to different audiences (for example hotel owners, revenue managers, general managers and internal leaders).
- You are a structured problem solver with an ownership mindset: you work independently, manage your own pipeline and priorities, and drive to practical, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- You are comfortable with regular travel within assigned markets (subject to business need and local guidance) and are proficient with standard productivity tools such as Excel/Google Sheets, presentation tools and AI-enabled productivity tools.
