Senior Analyst - Industry Insights

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.

Are you passionate about turning data into strategic insights that drive business decisions? Expedia Group is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Competitiveness & Industry Insights team. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for delivering high quality insights and will manage cross-functional projects related to industry trends and competitiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, problem-solving skills, project management experience and be a clear communicator.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, market growth and competitors’ activities to help inform business strategy
• Query large datasets and translate data into clear insights and recommended actions
• Continuously improve analytical products and innovate by identifying new data sources and enhancing existing analytics capabilities
• Own and deliver regular internal reporting consolidating insights from various sources and teams
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track and analyze key metrics and understand performance drivers
• Manage relationship with external data providers

Experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a numerical discipline: Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in business analytics, competitive intelligence or related field
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and Powerpoint
• Excellent communication and presentational skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbal
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage interactions with senior stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing projects
