Senior Finance Analyst – Technology Finance

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.

The Technology Finance team is seeking a self-driven, analytical problem-solver, and process-oriented Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Central Technology Center of Excellence (COE) team. The Central Technology COE team owns the centralized forecasting and month-end reporting & accrual processes for Expedia Group’s Technology organization of $1.5B in Operating Expense annual spend.

​The Sr. Financial Analyst will report into the Sr. Finance Manager, Product & Technology Finance leader. This position will partner closely with finance leaders and team members across Expedia Group to enable financial insight, deliver meaningful analysis, timely and robust reporting, and drive operational excellence.

In this role, you will:

• Own centralized forecasting and accrual/invoice processes for Operating Expense items for the Technology organization, such as Cloud, License & Maintenance, and Resource Management
• Proactively approach management with data-driven analyses and recommendations for maximizing cost efficiency while driving improvements to Technology financial processes
• Create insightful presentations and reporting, variance, and trend analysis for Technology that provide meaningful insights for the team, including senior leadership
• Evaluate actual business results, forecasts, and outlooks with a degree of healthy skepticism with the objective of improving accuracy while understanding risks and opportunities
• Identify and implement process and reporting enhancements to drive additional insight and improve efficiency & effectiveness
• Partner with peer finance teams and work cross-functionally across Expedia Group (including accounting) to ensure accuracy of forecast and month-end results
• Be flexible in a dynamic work environment and be willing to do what it takes to help the team win

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or any other related fields; or equivalent related professional experience
• 3-5 years of work experience in financial operations, FP&A, and/or accounting roles
• Strong analytic, modeling, and forecasting skills with the passion for using data to drive better decision-making
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity
• Results driven and highly motivated, with the ability to think big and small
• Collaborative with an ability to build and maintain close working relationships with teams across Expedia
• Have a passion for inspiring change and continuous improvement.
• Advanced skillsets in excel modeling and report automation
