Introduction to the Team:
The People Technology Team at Expedia is seeking a Workday Engineer II specializing in Recruiting to support Expedia Group brands. In this role, you will configure and maintain Workday Recruiting processes and integrations, ensuring a seamless candidate and recruiter experience across global operations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with Workday best practices.
In this role, you will:
Configure and maintain Workday Recruiting processes to support global hiring needs.
Collaborate with Product Managers and technical teams to translate business requirements into Workday solutions.
Support recruiting-related integrations and troubleshoot issues with vendors and internal teams.
Develop and maintain documentation, including runbooks and process guides.
Participate in testing and deployment of Recruiting enhancements and fixes.
Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working with Workday, with a strong focus on Recruiting configuration and support.
Hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and implementing Recruiting functionality in Workday.
Knowledge of Job Requisitions, Offer Processes, Candidate Management, Recruiting Business Processes, and related security.
Ability to create and maintain Recruiting-related reports and dashboards.
Familiarity with EIBs and basic integration concepts for Recruiting workflows.
Understanding of Recruiting security roles and compliance requirements.
Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Workday Pro certification in Recruiting.
Experience with advanced Recruiting features such as Candidate Pools, Agency Management, and Offer Templates.
Familiarity with Recruiting integrations (e.g., LinkedIn, Greenhouse, background check vendors).
Exposure to Core HCM, Onboarding and Talent modules for end-to-end hiring workflows.
Ability to optimize recruiting processes for high-volume hiring and global scalability.
