Activation Manager, North East Asia (Hong Kong)

The Expedia Group GEOS team is responsible for driving market share growth for our brands Expedia and Hotels.com in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

We have a role open for an Activation Manager who combines skills, experience, and interest in running the point of sale in a 360 fashion, from insights generation (including some data mining) to strategy creation and implementation.

This person is a self-starter, highly motivated, requiring little guidance. We are an inclusive workplace with an open and transparent management culture. The position will have one direct report.

Role Scope

  • Create and gather insights (consumer / market / competitor / performance) from internal data management tools and external sources.
  • Combine those insights into a compelling marketing and differentiation strategy for our brands in Hong Kong to grow market share.
  • Execute these strategies across Expedia Group’s lines of business, functions, channels, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Run the business on a day-to-day basis including monitoring of performance indicators, sharing of insights, leading of meetings, compliance with regulatory requirements.

Applicant Requirements

  • Comfortable with data: ability to generate data using tools such as tableau, excel, and others (coding skills not needed).
  • Good at market research: easy to understand consumer behavior, market and competitor trends.
  • Can create strategy: ability to translate the above into successful marketing strategies
  • Can execute: ability to implement plans within given timeframes.
  • Team player and leader: can engage others = team members, management, stakeholders
  • Is motivated: fast, humble, positive mindset, sees opportunities, shows resilience.
  • Strong in communicating: speaks clearly, can adapt to audience, diplomatic yet goal focused.
  • Proficiency in English & Cantonese, Mandarin is a plus
