Business Development Manager Italian Market - Partner Success Vacation Rentals

The Market Development Manager for the Italian market primary responsibility is to acquire high value Vacation Rental inventory in top destinations for Vrbo, Part of Expedia Group’s fast-growing global customer base, within their assigned territory. By doing so, you will grow Vrbo marketplace supply through targeted prospecting and value-based selling.

You will also foster collaboration with PMSC (Property Management Software Company) Partner, to drive acquisition of net new suppliers and promote supply growth via PMSC Playbook strategy & activity.

What you'll do:

  • Acquire net new supply, with a focus on high demand areas to match traveler demand

  • Deliver high-quality conversations to achieve and exceed sales targets

  • Develop a contact & call strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets

  • Daily outreach using a discovery, value pitch, objection handling and compelling closing statements to win the business

  • Introduce prospects to Vrbo’s marketplace and facilitate their onboarding process

  • Drive new partner education to maximize production potential at “Go-Live” and prepare them for hand off to an Account Manager

  • Execute effectively against all targets, goals and strategic objectives set by leadership

  • Become familiar with key demand and supply indicators, economic data, trends, and competitive information within the Vacation Rental marketplace

  • Deliver presentations, attend industry events, and build the company profile in market as needed

  • Develop and maintain strong PMSC partner relationships by providing relevant data insights and high-quality consulting services to Partners

Who you are:

  • Minimum 2-year Market Development Manager on a sales team

  • Ability to pitch, consult and close in order to effectively use your pipeline to build a solid quota

  • Experience of working with Channel Managers

  • 2+ yearsexperience pitching solutions in an ecommerceenvironment, Sales Team(or equivalent experience)

  • Mastery of multiple sales techniques (includingquarterly planning, effectivehot/ warm/ cold Partner &PMSCPartner calls, roadmap generation)

  • Track record of achieving salesgoals in aquotadrivenenvironment

  • 20 - 30% of travel for market visits

  • Bachelor’s Degree; or equivalent

  • High impact personality: intellectual agility, entrepreneurship, compassion in relationship, great teammate

  • Hungry, determined, motivated, willing to take action and results-focused

  • Proven follow-up/persistence when facing challenging situations

  • Ability to multi-task effectively and be able to change gears quickly without skipping a beat
