Travel Partnerships and Media (TPM) Program Management team is looking for a Business Programs Manager to play a key role in evolving our business and driving our division priorities to results.

In this role, you drive change for the next generation of travel challenges and opportunities in a fast-paced & ever-changing environment. As Portfolio Manager you will be responsible for the effectiveness of a collection of ongoing Commercial Operations initiatives. Your charter will be to broker alignment and manage interdependencies between leaders to maximise output. You will become an authority on program details and build processes and tools to drive optimisation. This is a dynamic, high-visibility role, and we’re looking for someone ready to take on that challenge.

TPM is Expedia Group’s B2B arm, partnering with suppliers (hotels, airlines, etc.), demand partners (OTAs, travel agencies, travel management providers) and media companies. We are a B2B powerhouse in the travel industry, powering our partners’ distribution, media, and software solutions. What you'll do:

  • Support the evolution of the Commercial Operations Portfolio including process, tools, metrics, measurements, and skillsets required.

  • Well organized and customer focused; you enjoy putting processes in place that enable your colleagues to focus on delivery, whilst still enabling them to meaningfully participate within the process

  • Drive strategic planning process and facilitate pipeline alignment processes with other Expedia organizations.

  • Partner with data, analytics, and engineering teams to lead the development of reporting dashboards to deliver actionable insights.

  • Identifies methods for collecting portfolio data, performs data analyses and articulates findings. Conduct investigation and analyses of data to propose solutions based on data findings.

  • Manage and optimise tools to ensure transparency on portfolio and project status.

  • Assess bottlenecks in work processes within teams and projects to streamline and simplify workflow. Seeking and building in continuous feedback to keep processes optimal.

  • Foster collaboration with team members and stakeholders to develop and execute new ideas and approaches, leveraging change management principles to achieve process improvement goals.

  • Independently project manage portfolio efforts spanning all phases of the lifecycle, including planning, execution, tracking, and closure.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of proven experience of leading complex, cross-functional, large-scale business programs and portfolios. Qualified and experienced at using PMP and/or Agile methodologies and frameworks. 

  • Portfolio management experience in a professional technology organization; Travel industry, customer-centric, sales operations experience preferred.

  • Adaptability and experience working with matrixed, multi-functional teams.

  • Experience with tracking and reporting on project status and financial metrics; developing and presenting project and strategic initiatives; developing and/or working with portfolio management tools, e.g. dashboards and resource forecasting; and successfully implementing change initiatives.

  • Competency in all phases of project management, including issue and risk identification and management; change management; tracking dependencies and achievements; and communicating overall project status.

  • Data-driven decision-maker with a strong analytical mindset; experience leveraging data visualization tools to help influence stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.

  • Solid understanding of technical platforms, and internal and 3rd party interfaces.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of the organization. 

  • Strategic thinker who drives results through collaboration

  • Demonstrated analysis and innovative problem-solving skills using a system thinking approach.

  • Experience with using Jira and Confluence.
