Enterprise Data Management and Governance organization is looking for a seasoned Data Migration engineer to help implement enterprise-wide Data Migration Strategy across multiple initiative and deliver data management capabilities that will bring this vision into reality.
As the Data Migration Specialist, you will be responsible to engage with various domain architects, data producers, data consumers, and engineering leads to support data migration activities.
You will have an opportunity to acquire vast knowledge of our data ecosystem by working together with diverse global teams, spanning technical functions, like data producers and consumers, to business functions, like marketing, finance, customer experience, and legal.Data Migration Engineer role is essential to implement enterprise wide Data Migration Strategy across various big boulder initiatives by performing Data Discovery functions to document Data Assets and support data migration plan.
What you'll do:
Demonstrate knowledge of data structures to identify structural deficiencies or opportunities for enhanced delivery and report potential data quality issues
Developing data quality metrics and standards for different types of data to ensure that it is high quality and error-free
Confirming to data quality models to identify issues with the data and recommending solutions to improve the data quality
Reviewing data quality protocols, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards
Estimating the cost of implementing new data quality projects and managing existing projects
Coordinate with the platform team to translate and determine technical requirements for the Data Quality Suite of applications. Conducting data quality audits to identify any issues with accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data within an organization’s databases
Recommending data quality solutions that may include automating manual processes or developing a new application to handle the data more efficiently
Monitoring the quality of incoming data to identify any errors or inconsistencies that may need to be corrected
Drive root cause analysis and resolution of data issues including options for remediation and controls
Coordinate with data engineers to determine progress against Data Quality Suite updates, provide technical feedback on tasks and assist testing updates to ensure they meet acceptance criteria
Creating reports that detail the quality of data within an organization’s databases
Who you are:
Bachelors in Science or Bachelors in Arts or Masters in a STEM degree or related field; or equivalent related professional experience
3+ year experience in the data management space, specifically in the Business Data Analysis
Understanding of data management strategies for large scale organizations
Knowledge about master data management and data governance practices and processes at-scale
Experience with metadata, data quality and data governance concepts
Expertise in eliciting and documenting features & requirements from both business and technical teams
Strategic perspective and ability to think through big-picture issues coupled with excellent execution to get things done in a fast-paced, environment
Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey sophisticated and abstract concepts to both technical and business teams
Influencing skills, including experience working within a large matrix organization
Collaboration, business insight, and customer advocacy skills
