Expedia Group’s Global Marketing team is dedicated to developing and implementing innovative and effective global marketing across our family of brands. This team sets the strategic approach and execution for our Expedia brand within this organization.
We are seeking an inspiring leader as Director of Business Marketing for Expedia. An enthusiastic person who can contribute to a collaborative yet evolving organization. This position requires a self-motivated, flexible individual with strong communication and leadership skills.
The role will focus on working with our product and product marketing teams to launch new products in the marketplace and monitor and improve the communication of existing lines of business. You will focus on bringing together teams across Expedia Group, from product, product marketing, brand planning, comms planning, research, growth marketing localization, supply, and pricing. A high degree of collaboration is needed, and the successful candidate will excel at relationship building.
What you’ll do:
Oversee a team that monitors the Expedia business, defines opportunities to improve performance, and creates briefs to enhance product communication through the funnel
Be the brand marketing point of contact & line of business expert, integrating with key stakeholders and staying up to speed on product updates and results
Maintain a deep understanding of new product development, LOB performance, and funnel messaging
Build opportunity assessments for existing lines of business, and articulate how brand strategy integrates with product and partner strategy
Build traveler journeys and ensure messaging aligns with product positioning and brand voice through the funnel and across all channels
Oversee the development of business briefs for the launch of campaigns, including detailed objectives, goals, audiences, outputs, and measures of success.
Lead results assessment and cross-channel sharing based on defined metrics for both annual, campaign, and always-on marketing effectiveness.
Who you are:
You are an experienced senior brand manager who is eager to build inspirational travel brands. Experience in travel or eCommerce is a major plus!
Strategic with critical thinking skills; can see the "big picture", dive into details where needed, and bring data and insights together to make good decisions
Possess excellent visual story-telling skills, and can communicate effectively, and concisely to your audience
Knows how to lead, inspire, and motivate your team and a larger organization.
Resilient and constructive when faced with change, able to shift approaches when needed in response to unexpected events and circumstances.
Daring personality who is open to help with any task
Ability to deliver under ambitious timelines
