The Vendor Solution team (VS) support the Expedia For Business group (E4B) and Expedia Group (EG) business with their outsourced services by providing best in class outsourced solutions and 3rd party vendor management support.

The role of the Vendor Solutions team in Expedia For business has three main focus areas:

  • Solution Design - Closely partner with business owners ot understand their strategies, their challenges, their requirements, and design business solutions for them powered by external partners

  • Program Management - Manage multiple vendor accounts within the same business unit, making sure vendors are consistently evaluated, or manage multiple stakeholders partnering with the same vendor account, coordinating multiple stakeholders requesting services to same external partners

  • Vendor Management - Look after vendor relationship, vendor performance vendor financials and responsible for global vendor footprint

We are looking for a new Director of Vendor Solutions to lead the team of vendor solution managers. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team responsible for vendor solution management for a network of outsourced partners and services spread globally. This role involves working closely with the internal partners across various functions to build and maintain outsourcing strategies for different business units, to streamline our use of 3rd party services and software and at the same time make sure that all E4B external partners are managed delivering the expected services.

As the leader of the global vendor solution organization within E4B, you will play a pivotal role in achieving business goals and objectives and helping Expedia’s business units to meet their key objectives and deliverables.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of Vendor Solution Managers

  • Drive outsourcing strategies for multiple business units across the Expedia B2B department

  • Build monthly, quarterly and yearly vendor solutions roadmaps and strategies, making sure vendor solution managers have a clear and defined set of goals

  • Facilitate the Vendor Solutions team partnership with support services such as sourcing, procurement, legal and finance

  • Establish strong relationships with business owners and leaders across E4B, making sure they incorporate vendor solutions support in their outsourcing effort

  • Serve as escalation point for internal and external vendor related issues and collaborate with business owners, Legal, and Procurement teams to ensure successful resolution and service delivery

  • Support procurement and legal departments in complex contract terms negotiations

  • Develop vendor policies and procedures to maximize performance and service quality.

  • Support Operation teams on resource allocation and planning

Who you are:

  • 8-10 years’ experience managing vendor relationships or other outsourced service providers

  • Strong experience in leading teams, building their gaols and strategy

  • Direct experience managing RFP and vendor selection processes from a business viewpoint.

  • Ability to collect, manipulate and use data to drive decisions and strategies

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

  • An ability to adapt to a wide variety of working environments and deadlines
