As a Lead UX Designer, you will lead a team through the alignment of design strategy to the delivery of detailed executions and improve Expedia’s products and services for millions of our customers worldwide, every day. In this role, you will be crafting the experience for the next generation of travel products to offer confidence to book, peace of mind, and protection when anything unexpected happens during their trip.

Ground your work in traveler insights via research and analytics; you evaluate competitive and innovative products, designs and technology approaches to generate ideas.
Take pride in mentoring other designers, and advocate for human-centered design practices
Believe universal design is the best design; you design for people of all abilities
Think about design as a system, adding to and maintaining pattern libraries as a way to influence both quality and efficiency for products.
5+ years of professional design experience
Degree in a relevant field (human-computer interaction, graphic design, interaction design, computer science, or communications)
Portfolio demonstrating compelling use of typography, color, imagery, grid systems, and well-crafted animation/transitions
Portfolio demonstrating customer-centric product thinking through navigation, user flows, interaction design, and information architecture
Expertise in web standards, native mobile design systems, and responsive/adaptive design techniques
Fundamental understanding of responsive web design standard methodologies, tech stacks, and data structures.
