Overview

The mission of the Enterprise Learning organization is to create impactful human-centered solutions that foster vibrant, meaningful career growth at Expedia Group. The Learning Operations & Innovation team within the Enterprise Learning organization will focus on leading our day-to-day operations for maximum efficiency and learner centered outcomes. The primary areas of focus will be on the functioning of the Learning team through proven operation strategies, the support of the programs and data needs of our Academies and Segments for most reliable and human centered decision making and creating innovation roadmaps to provide the best long-term solution for the learner.

The Manager, Business Programs will own the day-to-day Operations of the Enterprise Learning team. Their overall goal is to ensure this matrixed organization is working in the most efficient and clear way. We strive to make decisions by using learner insights to create the most impactful solutions.

Additionally, the Manager will partner closely with the Talent and Program Management teams within the People team organization to share best practices and manage closely the impacts to the employee in the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to support the day-to-day operations of Learning
  • Assist the team by removing barriers, providing guidance and coaching and link their daily work to broader objectives of the EG business strategy
  • Manage the teams’ bandwidth and assignments
  • Proactively seek opportunities to simplify, scale, and strengthen efficiency in how we work as an Enterprise learning team
  • Communicate to the manager certain opportunities and risks and to come prepared to present various solutions
  • Understands current business processes, objectives and challenges and suggests solutions and improvements
  • Collaborate to identify the key Learner metrics that could define our prioritization of work for Expedia Group Learning initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with the Enterprise Learning team. Collaborate, understand, and optimize working practices, including influencing at all levels for positive change.
  • Balance a keen eye for detail with clear understanding of the bigger picture.

Skills:

  • Manager who can guide Individual Contributors in the development of individual goals, providing regular and specific feedback and assessing individual performance
  • Proven ability to build strong, collaborative business relationships and influence across different departments
  • Ability to influence and overcome a change-averse environment
  • Ability to lead an effective meeting with clear actions and deadlines
  • Proven ability to be agile and reassess priorities and methodologies
  • Awareness of human-centered design methodology
