Manager, People Business Partner (Gurgaon)

Introduction to team

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.

Aligned to the People Team division, this People Business Partner will elevate the people leader experience at Expedia Group. You’ll work closely with a cohort of people leaders from front-line contact centre managers to Directors of Operations, Technology & Learning - coaching leadership best practices, driving divisional people strategies and influencing leaders to the outcome of exceptional performance and personal growth.

Note: be working on a hybrid model with flexible hours, requiring availability until 10 PM on at least two days per week to support key stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

  • ​People Agenda: You will work closely with the people partner teams to ensure your portfolio of people leaders are represented in the overall people plan. Supporting them to be successful in both achieving their business goals and leading, managing, and developing their teams. Program manage delivery against the plan at a regional level.

  • Leader, Manager & Supervisor Enablement: Through informed decision-making use data to identify trends, resolve root causes of issues and develop effective solutions across the portfolio of leaders you support. Providing input to design of Centre of Excellence (CoE) programs needed as needed.

  • ​Culture: You walk the talk of Expedia Group Culture, representing & influencing to drive leadership behaviours across the people leader workforce.

  • Employee Sentiment: You will be responsible for employee sentiment tracking E.g. listening sessions, engagement survey, and employee relations and case themes and translating action planning into programmatic interventions

  • Organization Effectiveness & Leadership coaching: You will use effective strategies that enable the organization to thrive and provide coaching to leaders to help them develop and grow. Coaching leaders to build high performing teams, manage change effectively and future orient the skills for the team members​

  • Talent Processes: You will support the design of career Pathing for teams, Onboarding, Performance and keeping a focus on wellbeing, and career and development​

  • Community: Contribute actively to a high performing pod of HR team members and find ways to contribute to each other's success. Listen closely to the needs of the Leaders you support and bring those insights to the HR team to help inform future products, services & experiences​

Experience and qualifications:

  • An expert: Experience working in as a HR Business Partner or Generalist in an Operations/Contact Centre environment

  • A coach: you are experienced in building trust, actively listening and sharing learnings as your expertise developers. You have experience in an agile environment and can find ways to test and learn to optimize team performance​

  • An analytical, data-driven, system thinker and a strategic problem-solver, with the ability to drive holistic solutions, and find linkages between structure, people, process and technology to deliver outcomes​

  • ​Proven ability to build high performing teams - either as a consultant or with a team that you have managed. Driving diversity of skills, personalities and enabling teams to have a shared purpose​

  • Highly organized with ability to drive operational excellence​

  • Able to leverage broad knowledge of HR, HR policies, programs and tools to enable scale across a team of managers AND curious about the ways teams work (with experience in sales, marketing, development or product management)​

  • Comfortable using advanced coaching techniques and influencing skills to make recommendations across opposing and equally critical business needs​

  • ​Curious and passionate about business context and leadership growth, building strong relationships by being an inspiring and approachable leader
