Mobile Engineer III (iOS)

The Mobile team within Partners Technology Group, is seeking a highly passionate and motivated software engineer for its growing lodging line of business. At Expedia, we develop next-generation technologies for which we have become world-renowned, and through which we are revolutionizing travel. We use top technology talent to innovate and build state of the art mobile and web applications. As a software engineer at Expedia you will design and implement high-volume, fault tolerant, scalable solutions. You will work with the team to design, implement and iterate on features quickly and efficiently. We seek an enthusiastic and creative candidate who demonstrates a high level of engagement.

We're looking for an engineer to work on mobile applications used by hundreds of thousands of our hotel partners around the world and localized to 26 languages. Our engineers are involved in every aspect of the application lifecycle. We release our apps to production multiple times a month and measure how our applications perform, so we can keep improving our features and our underlying platform. What You'll Do:

• Be part of evolving and growing the common platform underlying our mobile apps - design system, shared UI components, analytics, and more

• Work closely with the rest of our globally distributed native mobile developers, helping to break apart monolithic apps and improve platform capabilities to meet their needs

• Facilitate and contribute to discussions that result in simple, scalable, and reliable system designs. Help our teams operate efficiently and collaboratively to build apps that are performant, compact, intuitive, and maintainable

Who You Are:

• Has a deep understanding of iOS development

• Writes solid Swift that is maintainable and elegant

• Is passionate about high-quality automated tests

• Has experience guiding technical designs, mentoring developers, and helping to drive engineering excellence
