Program Manager III
The Lodging Program Management teams (PgMs) within the Expedia Marketplace Division, are responsible for helping Lodging technical and product teams deliver effectively through program leadership and support, agile coaching and planning.
The teams focus on leading and delivering innovative projects across travel products, primarily for hotel and vacation rentals but also across other product lines (flights, packages, car etc) and our core travel platform.
What you’ll do:
Work with teams/pods to help deliver features on roadmaps or on a workstream or project. As such you will need to be able to adapt your skills depending on what’s needed – depth or breadth of work.
Help shape timelines and milestones across projects, identifying areas of synergy or dependency and evaluate the progress of projects/team velocity and adjust as required to keep the project or work on track.
Able to flex your agile skills to help ensure teams are working effectively (retrospectives/demos etc) and not blocked in delivery
Help with identification of issues and risks and work with the team to plan mitigations and options for these as well as keeping stakeholders informed of these and on changes that impacts the project schedule
Support teams to ensure the successful execution of new ideas or approaches
Facilitate collaboration with different stakeholders with varied perspectives to help develop effective solutions to issues
Stay current on industry trends and on the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices
Establish working relationships with stakeholders and build rapport to become a trusted advisor
Use written and verbal communication skills effectively to help convey technical and business concepts to management
Who you are:
A project/program manager with experience of delivering ecommece/web/app projects in complex environments
Have a good understanding of a wide range of different methodologies – Scrum, Kanban as well as more ‘traditional’ PgM approaches and be able to adjust your approach to what’s needed to get the job done – whether working on a small pod or project
Be able to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in to help the team, stakeholders and partners deliver effectively – proactively contributioning to cross team collaboration
Have excellent communication skills
