Program Manager

Expedia is seeking an experienced, dynamic professional to join the Knowledge Management (KM) team in our Expedia for Business group! This individual will help lead content management system (CMS) strategy, support self-service content experiences, and design and run strategic cross-functional projects that move the needle on usability and self-service metrics. This person will collaborate across the business from senior stakeholders to content writers and work as part of a high impact, Content Systems and Programs team. This is a pivotal role as the Knowledge Management team expands its remit in the business and brings on new areas of operation.
 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead multi-phased programs to drive and promote the team’s CMS strategy, including developing requirements, coordinating content migrations, and providing strategic direction to the KM team and others

  • Drive improvements to self-service content discoverability and content performance with strategic programs and tool investments

  • Analyze requests from the business, identifying priorities to ensure the right work is delivered at the right time to support our partners, business alignment, and team goals

  • Follow standard project management, continuous improvement methodologies, program management practices, and principles in scoping, managing, and implementing programs and projects

  • Collaborate in a matrixed environment, making space for all voices to be heard and considered

  • Develop and implement scalable frameworks for ongoing content quality and customer experience initiatives, such as content audits

  • Be at the forefront of large-scale content technology initiatives, continuously seeking new ways to increase ROI

  • Evangelize the role of self-service content at Expedia and the KM team’s mission and vision

Who you are:

  • Rockstar program manager who can organize teams to get stuff done

  • Experience in at least one or more of the following areas: Program management, content project management, UI/UX or product projects, technical implementation/integrations, Salesforce, manipulating large data sets

  • Outstanding ability to simplify processes to be more user-centric; ability to prioritize, handle constraints, and make tradeoffs when running projects and programs

  • Able to work between the business and technology

  • To ensure the right problems are solved

  • Strong business insight and judgment to navigate ambiguity and lead through change in a fast-paced environment with strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in analyzing content metrics, reaching data-based conclusions, and taking appropriate actions

  • Experience working with enterprise content management is preferred

  • Experience working in a globally distributed organization is preferred

  • Experience in the travel industry is helpful

  • Salesforce experience preferred
