Senior Business Development Manager, Media Solutions (Tokyo)

Expedia Group Media Solutions is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to develop the regional strategy and deal pipeline. You will lead a designated territory within Asia, mostly in Japan, developing the go-to-market strategies and tactics,
building long-term relationships with key partners, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to accelerate our media revenue growth in your territory.

Our team of digital marketing experts equips advertising partners with insights and solutions they need to connect, engage, and convert travelers worldwide.


What You'll Do

  • Grow Media Solutions’ sales footprint within your region through new client acquisition and retention/growth of existing accounts, leading deal negotiations with key clients and exceeding revenue goals

  • Develop strategies with data/insights, manage complexity, and work through ambiguity for your territory

  • Build and foster relationships with partners across all levels and present/negotiate with Directors and C-suite levels to close complex deals

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to cultivate opportunities and execute media campaigns

  • Represent Expedia Group Media Solutions at industry events to establish our brand as a leader and innovator in travel digital media

Who You Are

  • Proficiency in Japanese and English is required. Fluency in Korean is a plus

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in business development, OTA, and/or digital media is required

  • Experiences in partnerships with Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) and/or with airlines are preferred

  • Solid experience in driving business development with proven records

  • Effective listening and consultative selling skills

  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills

  • Strong critical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills

  • Relationship builder and cultivator, who assumes good intent and brings positivity to collaborative problem solving

  • Capable of handling multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability

  • (Inter)national travel required
