Senior Manager, Inclusion & Diversity

Expedia Group’s Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) team seeks an innovative and committed lead to support our efforts to elevate underrepresented voices and to take our Inclusion Business Groups (IBGs) to the next level. Our IBGs, also known as Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), are strategic, self-organized, I&D Team sponsored communities focused on advancing inclusion, awareness, development and a sense of belonging for underrepresented identities at Expedia Group. 

As the IBG Lead, you will be responsible for designing, defining, and implementing the IBG framework and related governance, directing IBG leadership, and engaging and advising Executive Sponsors. You will invest in the professional development of IBG membership and identify the ways in which their voices and life experiences can be integrated into customer and product insights and innovation. You will be joining a team of dedicated Diversity & Inclusion practitioners who share the common goal to create an inclusive and exceptional workplace at Expedia Group.

Who you are:

  • Responsible for the strategy, implementation, and management of the global Business Resource Group (IBG) community at Expedia Group
  • You will define and implement the vision, strategy, plan, and success metrics for our IBG communities with key partners and stakeholders
  • You will drive collaboration among and within IBGs and their membership communities
  • You will partner with relevant stakeholders to implement a global calendar of activity to drive employee engagement around key I&D priorities, as well as reacting to opportunities as they arise
  • You will work closely with the Corporate Communications team in seeking, developing, and implementing a calendar of external opportunities with key external organizations and benchmarks
  • You will share support with IBGs for large, special projects and events
  • You will recommend ways in which IBG leadership activities can be reflected in annual performance assessments and annual objectives and key results
  • You will research and negotiate strategic diversity and inclusion speaking opportunities for sharing our IBG journey and create associated assets and talking points; attending and speaking at events as and when required
  • You will continually build your knowledge of the I&D landscape and emerging issues and opportunities, and communicate them as relevant to management and partners
  • You will identify, establish, and maintain relationships with industry associations, groups, and partners relevant to supporting our IBG communities
  • You will regularly engage and collaborate with internal subject matter experts including HR, Global Talent Acquisition, Legal and Investor Relations, and executive leadership

What you'll do:

  • We are seeking an individual who has multi-national experience in I&D
  • A history of leading successfully
  • A person with a Growth mindset, extraordinary communication and influencing skills
  • Team-focused, skilled at creating cohesion and championing others for success
  • You have direct experience leading a network of employee/business resource groups, employee forums preferably on a large global scale
  • You have experience working in an intersectional manner to foster collaboration across multiple business resource groups
  • You have experience with community engagement
  • Experienced in developing and executing I&D strategies, for a global business
  • You are an analytical thinker with a proven history for implementation and execution
  • You work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have impeccable organizational skills and the ability to think on your feet and use your initiative
  • You possess rigorous attention to quantitative and qualitative data with a focus on impact
  • You are an excellent public speaker and facilitator
  • You are a curious and creative thinker
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Background in travel or ecommerce industries is beneficial
  • Previous work in a multi-cultural environment/business is preferable
  • Ability to travel for business when required
