Senior Media Manager - Pod Media Lead
Are you a driven media expert with a passion for producing world class media strategies and coordinating the delivery of them? The Global Media Planning Team within EG Media are looking for a talented individual to strategically lead and coordinate the media output across markets for each Expedia Group brand.
The Pod Media Lead is responsible for setting the Strategic Media Approach for each brand and ensuring all outputs across market deliver against it. They are the champion for their brand, building alignment with interdependent stakeholders in the wider Brand Organisation and provide direction to enable the Media Planning and Investment teams to design holistic media strategies and plans and execute them.
What you will do:
Develop each brand’s annual strategic media approach and supervises all media outputs to ensure adoption
Provide innovative ideas and approaches to assist Comms Planning’s development of Comms Framework
Collaborate to determine allocation of capital x-markets, x-pods and incremental funding asks
Pod specific point of contact and fully engaged in Pod’s operations
Interact with wider Brand Org to set expectations and timelines regarding media planning and output
Work with interdependent stakeholders in Brand Org to provide / extract necessary information
Design EG Media interaction process with Brand Org and supervise adoption
Attend Pod meetings and include EG Media Planning & Buying talent in relevant meetings
Provide continuous media planning updates to Pod and MeSo operations
Provide continuous Pod and MeSo updates to EG Media teams
Collaborate with Planning Leads to coordinate planning and response to Comms Planning Media Briefs
Accept MeSo channel specific briefs and coordinate the planning and response of media
Synthesise market specific schematics and reports into global views and socialise in relevant forums
Collaborate with Creative Org to ensure media/creative alignment and determine required assets and delivery timelines
Escalate urgent issues into correct forums
Ensure consistent output x-market and x-pod
Analyses and evaluate global media learnings and work with Media Planning / Pods to act upon them
Who you are:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field; or in equivalent relevant professional field
8+ years of relevant experience in a media related role
Strategic media planning knowledge either working in an agency, inhouse or managing an agency
Ability to synthesize detailed information into relevant wider views
Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, expectation management, and stakeholder alignment skills
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work assignments
Willingness to take ownership of issues and drive solutions
