Senior Media Planner

As we continue to expand our services and responsibilities, we are seeking a Senior Media Planner to join us at a pivotal time in our journey. You are a data driven, and highly analytical media planner who thrives in a fast paced setting, collaborating across an international team. You have the dedication to stay ahead of the latest innovations and media marketplace trends, expertly sharing your experience in a collaborative and consultative manner. You will play an integral role in developing and stewarding multiple Expedia Group Brands’ media plans in US, capitalizing on innovation, and your talents and resourcefulness to grow Brand consideration and favorability among our target consumers.


What you'll do:

  • Develop holistic media plan recommendations which deliver on Brand media strategies and established media principles

  • Effectively execute and steward national US multi-media plans as well as broadcast integrations and sponsorships for multiple Expedia Group Brands

  • Serve as media expert, providing insight to media marketplace conditions and opportunities in National TV/digital video/audio, and local media

  • Manage multiple Brands’ market/vendor budgets and deliverables (GRPs, impressions, sponsorships and integrations)

  • Compile and analyze relevant metrics on an ongoing basis to optimize media plans, media schedules, analyze media alternatives and make sound recommendations

  • Develop pre and post-campaign summary materials for co-op partnerships and major Brand sponsorships

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute media testing strategies that drive business efficiencies.

  • Manage team of 2+ planners

Who you are:

  • At least 5+ years Media planning and buying experience in US National TV, digital video and audio, and local media. Experience with emerging TV platforms (connected TV/OTT, addressable, programmatic TV planning and execution) is required. US Hispanic media marketplace knowledge ideal.

  • Strong analytical skill set - proven ability to derive TV optimization insights from data and make sound recommendations

  • Good interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Brand and EG Media leads, Finance, and outside vendors

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to write succinct, strategic media presentations with minimal supervision required.

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Well organized, detail oriented, and proactive, with proven ability to meet deadlines

  • 4-year college degree or related equivalent professional experien

  • Minimum 5+ years TV planning and buying experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of management experience, managing a team of 2+ people

  • Experience working with media planning and research software such as MRI, Nielsen Ad Intel and NMI

  • Minimum intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office in Excel and PowerPoint
