Senior Product Manager

Search & Discovery provides a portfolio of products that enable customers across EG’s diverse portfolio of brands to easily find and plan travel that meets their unique needs.

We provide innovative tools and use sophisticated machine learning systems to remove friction from the travel search experience to enable a marketplace where diverse customers are matched with relevant partner offers.

The Senior Product Manager, Discovery, will work with a wide network of partners across the organization to deliver capabilities that improve client and customer experience and add value to our market places.

As a product manager in the Search & Discovery team, you will be a leader for the teams designing and optimizing these systems.

You will work with business partners, engineers, designers, and data scientists to solve complex problems, and you will see the results of your work rapidly making a positive impact on our customers and our business.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and execute the product strategy for proactive Search and Discovery capabilities, setting clear goals and owning the outcomes

  • Lead product manager for Discovery engineers and scientists

  • Using data and customer empathy, you will make clear decisions to focus energy on the highest priorities

  • Represent your customers’ interests to all levels of the organization, considering their needs at all stages of the product lifecycle

  • Develop collaborative relationships with partners and counterparts from all corners of Expedia Group

  • Recognize staff potential and guide employees in developing skills by recommending appropriate training and sources of information

  • Create an environment for team effectiveness, where strengths are known and built up on and learning is shared to build capacity

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's or MBA degree in Business, Engineering, in related technical fields or equivalent related professional experience

  • 5-10+ years with product, consulting, or technology experience in a corporate environment required

  • Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment, coping well with ambiguity

  • A change agent able to influence the broader organization and community of EG leaders

  • Analytical problem solver who uses data and insights to drive decisions

  • Collaborative leader who builds a constructive working environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate issues and influence others internally and externally

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to gain the respect of senior management and external executives and partners

  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
