The Senior Connectivity Account Manager will play a key role in progressing our vision to revolutionize travel through the power of technology (via our strategic software partnership). In this role, you will manage Expedia’s largest and most strategic lodging connectivity software providers. You will manage a segment of the portfolio of partnerships, acting as a trusted advisor to the accounts within the portfolio. They will optimize programs and focus on problem solving. They will build C-level relationships with customers organizations. Responsible for business performance, including developing and executing a strategic growth plan and may lead contract negotiations. They will also share best practices across teams and regions, highlighting emerging themes and trends.

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years for Bachelor's
  • 6+ years for Master's
  • Proficiency in English + local language of the market(s) where applicable
  • Expert communicator
  • Shows mastery in sales techniques
  • Understands contractual terms and application to business relationship

What You’ll Do:

  • Identifies decision makers, influencers/stakeholders across a customer* organization and develops/nurtures strategic account relationships.
  • Creates opportunities (e.g., progress meetings, fact-finding/exploratory meetings) to grow customer* accounts and expand business opportunities and relationships.
  • Gathers information about customer* business challenges/drivers and leverages internal relationships to identify and align resources to meet customer* needs.
  • Completes and manages complex and unique accounts (e.g., geography, types of industries) by demonstrating deep understanding of customer* needs and industry trends; prioritizes time based on the account's value and delegates simplest work to less experienced colleagues.
  • Gains customer* commitment to deliver on joint initiatives that result in the achievement of agreed business/revenue targets.
  • Plans ahead to resolve potential risks, bottlenecks, or tight deadlines that could impact quality of work/outcomes.
  • Utilizes knowledge of the organization’s business model and operations to drive projects and analyses that support the organization’s mission.
  • Applies advanced understanding of the policies, practices, trends, and information that impact the organization and its customers* to anticipate and plan for each step of a complex project.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the financial impact of decisions/solutions to drive projects and analyses that support the organization’s mission.
  • Can identify the presenting business issue impacting multiple teams and develops the rationale for initiating a project or change.
  • Develops potential business solutions and tactics and conducts broad analysis (e.g., pros/cons, cost/benefit, risks, resources, timing) to determine the viability of various alternatives.
  • Drafts the business case for change and presents recommended solution based on analysis to own leaders.
  • Applies deep knowledge of standard contract terms and conditions to help answer customer* questions.
  • Partners with legal resources to explain difficult concepts or unique situations that require potential deviation from standard contract terms; develops appropriate contract terms.
  • Seeks assistance from senior management to negotiate complex or short-term contracts.
  • Moves others toward a position, with or without authority, by communicating expertise and a compelling rationale.
  • Engages in discussion and arranges agreements that create maximum value and sustainability for all parties.
  • Establishes the value of preferred alternatives by relating them to the party's needs and exposing problems with undesirable alternatives; envisions and verbalizes potential solutions to areas of disagreement.
  • Understands complex offerings and tailors solutions to meet the unique needs of the customer.
  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of products, technologies, offerings, etc., and coaches other colleagues in building their knowledge.
  • Leverages knowledge of competitors’ products and services as well as their strengths and weaknesses to compare choices.
  • Grows relationships with key organizational influencers and builds relationships with external customers*.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of customer’s* industry, including key market and economic factors impacting business performance and competitive landscape, to assist in creating effective customer* solutions.
  • Gains a thorough understanding of what the customer* values and expects through formal and informal feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Interprets data relative to the performance of products, services, and solutions against customer* needs/expectations to ensure the customer* recognizes and receives value.
  • Identifies the company’s products, services, and solutions that will most benefit the customer* and presents the value proposition for a continued partnership.

The total cash range for this position in Miami Chicago is $165,500 to $232,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $265,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $192,500 to $269,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $308,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Montreal is $143,500.00 to $201,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $229,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
