Hi, my name is Keri Spivey, and I am a Director of Market Management, overseeing the Central Region (markets include TX major markets, Nashville, New Orleans, FL Panhandle, etc.), based out of San Antonio, TX.  I’ve been with Expedia Group for over 13 years, and started as a Market Manager, moving into an Area Manager role in 2016, and then into the Director role at the end of 2019.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family (my husband, 13-year-old son, Colton, and 18-year daughter, Cailey), reading, and of course, traveling!  I also enjoy cooking and baking – most recently, my son and I made a cast iron skillet chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  To die for!

It may sound cliché, but I feel a deep connection to what we aim to accomplish at Expedia Group every day. Growing up in Ohio, my family had limited financial resources, which meant we couldn’t travel frequently. My parents prioritized one family trip per year, and I vividly remember the overwhelming excitement and anticipation as we prepared for and embarked on those trips. Those memories are still with me today. 

We believe that “Travel is a Force for Good,” and our mission is to “Power global travel for everyone, everywhere.” We are responsible for curating unforgettable experiences for that 10-year-old girl dreaming about her next vacation and ready to make lasting memories. There is no other industry or company I would rather be a part of than right here, right now.

I am fortunate to work alongside some of the brightest and best minds in the business. I’ve had the great opportunity to grow my career here at Expedia Group, and I couldn’t have done so without the support and leadership I’ve received. I am deeply motivated by the passion and drive that everyone brings to work every day.  Over the past 13 years, I have had the opportunity to partner and collaborate with global stakeholders across Expedia Group, including other divisions and Lines of Business. What stands out is that everyone here truly cares about not only the success of Expedia Group but also each other’s success. As a leader, it is deeply rewarding to have the privilege of leading a team of almost 50 people every day and watching them grow and develop in their own careers. 

The work we do

My career began in the hotel industry, initially in hotel operations, before transitioning into Revenue Management. I find the most fulfillment and joy in collaborating with our hotel partners, working together to help them achieve their goals and ultimately drive more travelers to their hotels. Over the past 13 years, the travel landscape has evolved significantly—distribution has never been more complex. We’ve faced uncertainties and navigated unprecedented times during COVID, and it’s been incredibly encouraging to see that Expedia Group has consistently been at the forefront of innovation and technology as we navigate these changing factors.
