This year Vrbo celebrated its 25^th anniversary with travelers, partners and employees! It has been a busy quarter of a century for Vrbo, embarking on a rewarding journey to become a world leader in the vacation rental space. We take a look at how the team celebrated the achievement and how they continue to connect with the Vrbo community.

To commemorate 25 years since it pioneered the online vacation rental business, Vrbo gave away 25 stays at some of its all-time favorite vacation homes to travelers and partners. To enter for the prizes, participants had to share a family vacation photo on Instagram, or Facebook, using #VrboTurns25 in their post. The selected winners chose a vacation home stay from Vrbo’s collection of all-time favorites.

Our employees also joined in with the festivities by celebrating the milestone, virtually. During this event, the team heard Expedia Group leaders offering their congratulations, Vrbo veterans sharing their favorite memories, and last but not least, a wonderful Vrbo song, written and performed by long-time team member, Mike Mears. Throughout the afternoon, and between memories being shared, 25 lucky employees were also given $250 in Expedia Group Travel Awards to use toward their next Vrbo vacation!

Employees were also encouraged to keep the celebration going by sharing their favorite memories, competing in Vrbo related trivia, using Vrbo-themed Snap Camera filters during their virtual meetings and enjoying a playlist of hit pop songs over the past 25 years. Some real classics!
