Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) is the largest gathering of women and allies in tech across Asia. Now in its 13th year, attendees across our EG India teams got to watch high‑impact keynote speeches, attend hands‑on learning workshops, and network with peers from across the country. This year’s theme, “Unbound,” challenged everyone to think bigger and push past limits. Our teams attend the conference because championing diverse voices and supporting talent isn’t just important, it’s essential to building the future of tech.
In this blog, four Expedians share their firsthand takeaways from the GHCI experience.
Mehak Tangnoo | Program Manager II | Gurgaon, India
What was your favorite part of GHCI 2025 and why?
My favorite part was connecting with so many people and hearing their inspiring stories. Such events are essential for professional development, offering critical insights into career progression and benchmarking your current skills. Beyond the workplace, the broad exposure gained from interacting with diverse individuals and hearing their stories has significantly boosted my confidence and networking skills.
What was your key learning and how do you plan to incorporate it at work?
A core takeaway for me is the commitment to lifelong learning and overcoming any hesitation to ask for support. I believe this proactive step is crucial for development, and I intend to adopt both practices in my daily work.

Priya | Senior Manager, Software Development | Gurgaon, India
What was your favorite part of GHCI 2025 and why?
I’d say interacting with amazing women in tech from different organizations and inspiring women speakers like Kirthiga Reddy. We had good social interactions and learned how people in various industries are moving the needle.
What was your key learning and how do you plan to incorporate it at work?
AI is here for a paradigm shift in the way we are working. The way when computers came, human thought that their jobs will be taken but it regenerated the whole new variety of jobs just with different skills. Learn AI and new tech and incorporate that in your work to update and get benefit out of it.
Simarjeet Kaur | Senior Technical Program Manager | Gurgaon, India
What was your favorite part of GHCI 2025 and why?
The incredible opportunity to listen to the stories of inspiring women leaders who have paved the way in technology and leadership. Hearing about their journeys, the challenges they overcame, and the bold decisions they made, was truly empowering. These conversations gave me actionable insights and a fresh perspective on resilience and growth.
What was your key learning and how do you plan to incorporate it at work?
My key takeaway was the concept of “Brass Tacks”, getting down to the essentials and focusing on what truly matters, zeroing in on the most practical, impactful details. This resonated with me because it emphasizes the importance of actionable, near-term strategies rather than distant, abstract goals. I will incorporate this at work by prioritizing immediate improvements that drive tangible results today.

Sanchi Dhingra | Software Development Engineer III | Gurgaon, India
What was your favourite part of GHCI 2025 and why?
Being surrounded by so many women who were learning, sharing, and supporting each other felt really positive. People shared real experiences and not just successes but also doubts and learning moments. That made it easier to relate and reflect on my own journey. By attending I got to understand how others are growing, adapting, and solving real problems. It also gives space to reflect on my own path and rethink what to plan for next.
What was your key learning and how do you plan to incorporate it at work?
My key takeaway was the importance of making small, consistent progress instead of waiting for the “perfect” moment. Many speakers talked about how growth often comes from steady effort and learning on the job. I plan to apply this at work by taking initiative earlier, experimenting without overthinking, and learning through action. This will help me grow and contribute more effectively.
