Learn more about her journey, here:

Felicity Thomas | Marketing Specialist Graduate | London, UK

Tell us about your team.

I am part of the Marketing team within the Strategic Partners & Affiliates (SPA) team. We focus on supporting both network-managed affiliate partnerships and unmanaged creator partnerships by designing campaigns that help partners grow, succeed and stay engaged. What I love about my team is the mix of creativity and strategy. We use insights from the market and our partners to test ideas, innovate, and deliver campaigns that make a real impact. We connect with partners in a variety of ways: through email marketing, our partner websites and paid or programmatic media across platforms like Meta, Google and TikTok. Being part of this team means I get to see how marketing strengthens connections between partners and travelers worldwide, and how it delivers results that power global travel for everyone, everywhere.

Tell us about your role.

As a Marketing Specialist, I get to do a bit of everything. From creating campaigns to diving into research and learning new tools. One of my favourite projects so far was my first email campaign for our creator partners. I took tips from an interview with one of our top creators and turned them into an inspiring email designed to motivate others on their creator journey. Additionally, I have written a blog post for the Creator Hub and am excited to be working on a dedicated blog page to connect even more with our creators and affiliates. On the research side, I help with competitor analysis, partner interviews, and gathering insights that feed directly into our campaigns. I also get hands-on with marketing operations, such as scheduling campaigns, tracking performance and keeping projects on track. What makes this role so exciting is that it blends creativity, strategy and collaboration. Every project I work on has a real impact and I get to see firsthand how marketing helps our partners grow and succeed.

What has your career journey at EG been like so far?

I first joined Expedia Group as a Marketing Intern in June 2024, where I conducted in-depth market research and competitive analyses that helped shape partner marketing strategies. That summer gave me a strong foundation in marketing skills and the confidence to step into my current role on the 2025 Graduate Program. Now, I am getting more involved in content creation, developing email campaigns, blog posts and sharing my own ideas to engage partners, while continuing to build on the insights and experience I gained during my internship.

What was the biggest shift going from an Intern to a Graduate?

As an Intern, I mainly supported projects and carried out market research to gather insights and shape new strategies for the EG Creator Program. Now, as a Graduate, I get to own more of the process, still contributing to research, in addition to planning campaigns, presenting ideas and seeing projects from start to finish. There is more responsibility and autonomy, but also more trust and support from my team, which has been both exciting and rewarding. Since being full-time, my confidence has grown enormously. Each project and piece of feedback has helped me trust my skills and speak up more, whether that is in team meetings or when pitching new ideas.

What advice do you have for how to succeed in your role?

Be curious and proactive. Ask questions, volunteer for projects that stretch your skills and share your ideas, even if they are not fully formed. The team is incredibly supportive, and showing enthusiasm and a willingness to learn goes a long way. Building relationships, seeking feedback early and embracing challenges helps you grow faster and make the most of the experience. Go get what’s next!
