What Interviewers Look For
Our interviewers want to understand you and your motivations. They’ll assess how your experience aligns with the competencies and skills of the role. Don’t hesitate to ask clarifying questions or request anything to be repeated or expanded on. -
Dev & Cloud Technical Questions
This interview will focus on your ability to solve problems and think critically through technical challenges. You’ll be asked to work through coding questions that test your development skills, followed by Cloud-related questions that explore how you approach technical scenarios.
We recommend being ready to talk through your thought process and share examples from past projects that highlight your problem-solving and collaboration skills. . We encourage you to prepare examples of projects you've worked on and the solutions you contributed, so you can explain them clearly. -
DS, OOP & Deep Dive
This interview will focus on your technical depth in data structures and object-oriented programming through a set of targeted questions
We recommend preparing data structures and basic algorithms along with OOPs Design, focusing on not just how they work but also their real world applications. We encourage you to not only focus on finding the correct answer but to also demonstrate your problem-solving approach and how you collaborate within a team. -

Do Your Research
Research, Research! Make sure you understand the role and you have done further research into what is expected, alongside research into Expedia Group and our industry.

Practice Makes Confident
Practice makes confident! Use what you've learned about the role to prep for common questions - especially ones tied to the key skills and responsibilities highlighted in the job description.
Say your answers out loud, and get comfortable talking about how your experiences connect to our values. It's a great way to show you've done your homework and that you're genuinely excited about the role. -
Virtual Tips
Join the interview 5 minutes early, be in a quiet space and test your connection. It is important to make sure your camera is turned on. This helps build connection and trust - it shows you're engaged and present in the conversation.
Also, as a reminder, we value the authenticity and originality of responses during the interview process. Therefore, we ask that you not use Artifical Intelligence (AI) to answer questions. We believe that genuine, perosnal insights are crucial for a meaningful evaluation.

Is AI usage of any kind allowed in the interview process at Expedia Group?

How long does it take to hear back on a decision?
We appreciate your patience. Timelines can vary due to ongoing interviews and other processes, but your recruiter will share updates as soon as they can. -
Who will be my interviewers?
Interviewers are selected based on their level, role profile, and completion of required interviewer trainings. However, while they’ll be Expedia Group employees in the role profile you're applying for, please note that they may not be from the specific team you would join. -
I am interviewing for more than 1 position at Expedia Group. Can I complete just one of the interviews?
No, it is important to complete the processes stated per profile as each role has different requirements. Interviewers will assess alignment based on the role profile specified. -
I am interviewing or have received another offer with a competing timeline. Can I get my hiring decision expedited?
Should you have other competing offer deadlines, please let your recruiter know as soon as possible and they will let you know if an expedited hiring decision is possible. -
Do I need to be on camera for my interview?
Yes, we request your camera to be on during each interview. -
My interview is tomorrow, and I have not received details regarding links or names of my interviewers. What should I do?
Please email [email protected] if you have not received the interview link details by the morning of the interview. -
Am I allowed to thank the interviewers after the interviews are complete?
Absolutely! You can share a thank you note directly with your recruiter or by emailing [email protected]. -
If I’m not selected for the role, would there be an opportunity to receive feedback for future growth?
Depending on availability, your recruiter may offer an opportunity to relay interviewer feedback following the final interview rounds.
