Request a Disability AccommodationOur interviewers are looking to understand how you think, what motivates you, and how your experience aligns with the skills and competencies needed for the role. They’ll also be evaluating how clearly you communicate, how you approach problem-solving, and how effectively you collaborate with others. If a question is unclear, feel free to ask for clarification or have it repeated.
During the interview, you should expect to talk through your thought process out loud. Be prepared to share examples of projects you’ve worked on, the solutions you contributed to, and the impact of your work. As you answer, focus not only on getting to the right outcome, but also on showing how you evaluate problems, make decisions, and work with others along the way.
This interview will focus on your ability to approach a problem and find the optimal solution while testing your coding skills and decision making. You may also be asked questions related to the EG behaviors: Traveler First, Think Big, and Succeed Together.
This interview will focus on your understanding of data structures. As you prepare, be ready to explain not only how different data structures work, but also when and why you would use them in real-world situations. You may also be asked questions related to Expedia Group behaviors, including Operate with Excellence, Ownership Mindset, and Succeed Together.
We want to meet the real you. Our interviewers are excited to get to know you and want you to succeed. This is also your opportunity to decide whether Expedia Group is a place where you can see yourself growing your career. When preparing, be sure to take time to understand the role, what’s expected, Expedia Group, and the travel industry.
Practice leads to confidence. Use what you’ve learned about the role to prepare for common questions, especially those tied to the key skills and responsibilities in the job description. Practice saying your answers out loud and get comfortable explaining how your experience connects to our values. It’s a strong way to show preparation and genuine interest in the opportunity.
On the day of the interview, keep in mind the following: join the interview five minutes early, choose a quiet space, and test your connection in advance. Please keep your camera on during the interview to help build connection and show that you’re engaged in the conversation.
We also value the authenticity and originality of responses during the interview process, so we ask that you do not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to answer questions. Genuine, personal insights are important for a meaningful evaluation.
If selected to interview, you may request a disability accommodation, and use of certain tools may be considered.
The STAR technique is a simple way to structure your answers to behavioral interview questions. It helps you tell a clear, focused story by walking through the situation, the task, the action you took, and the result.
What was happening? Set the scene by explaining the context, who was involved, and why the situation mattered.
What were you responsible for? Share the goal, challenge, or expectation you needed to address.
What did you do? Walk through the steps you took, why you chose that approach, and the specific role you played.
What happened in the end? Highlight the outcome, what you learned, and how the experience has shaped the way you work today.
We believe better travel experiences start with teams that bring different perspectives, experiences and ways of thinking. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace where people feel valued, supported and able to contribute.
Our Behaviors help us work together with curiosity, candor, ownership and respect. When we make space for different perspectives, we make better decisions for travelers, partners, communities and one another.
